Addamo Rips the River

Level 21 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Michael "imluckbox" Addamo min-raised under the gun and faced a three-bet to 244,000 from Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle in the next seat. Addamo peeled and check-called a bet of 151,250 on the {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} and Addamo shipped in for Rolle's 548K on the {3-Spades} river.

Rolle quickly gave it up and sank to by far the shortest stack.

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt Eliminated in 8th Place ($62,152)

Niklas Åstedt

Michael "imluckbox" Addamo clicked raise in the hijack and that was met with a jam worth 969,102 by neighbor Niklas "Lena900" Astedt. Addamo quickly called after the button and blinds mucked.

Addamo: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Astedt: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Addamo may have feared another bad beat after the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flopped to give Astedt a flush draw. He added a straight draw while losing his pairing outs on the {q-Hearts} turn. The {9-Diamonds} river didn't do it for the Swede.

Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden Eliminated in 9th Place ($54,286)

Samuel Vousden

Joao "Naza114" Vieira opened for 103,000 in the cutoff and Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden shoved all in from the small blind. It was a hair shy of 1 million and Vieira looked him up.

Vieira: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Vousden: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Vousden was dominated and things got worse then Vieira paired up on the {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. The {10-Hearts} turn was even worse, leaving Vousden drawing dead.

He exits in ninth with a $54K payout.

Lucky Double for Badziakouski Propels Him into Lead

Level 21 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Addamo had one out.
Addamo had one out.

Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski opened for 126,000 in the cutoff and Michael "imluckbox" Addamo three-bet in the big blind to 425,000. Badziakouski went into the time back then jammed for just under 1.5 million. Addamo snap-called.

Addamo: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Badziakouski: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Addamo was set to take even more control of the tournament, but alas for him, the {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop was a grim one. The {5-Hearts} turn left him hoping for a one-outer but the {j-Clubs} river wasn't it.

Beresford Check-Raises the River

Level 21 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Action folded to the blinds, where Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford opened for 175,000 and Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski called. Beresford bet 133,320 on the {7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop and both players checked the {7-Diamonds}. On the {8-Clubs} river, Beresford checked and Badziakouski bet small with 214,605.

Beresford woke up with a raise to 1,039,493, most of Badziakouski's remaining stack, and he found the fold button.

Vieira Checks Back a Set

Joao "Naza114" Vieira opened for 80,500 in one of the last hands at the 35K level out of the hijack and Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden called in the small blind. Vousden check-called a small bet of 79,150 on {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. He checked the {j-Spades} as well and Vieira continued for 283,800. Vousden peeled again bringing the {7-Clubs}.

Checked to once more, Vieira went into his time bank and then checked, showing down a set of fours to beat {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Welcome to Day 2 of SCOOP-43-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super High Roller], $1.5M Gtd

Someone's going to win $469,987 today — assuming it plays out without a deal — in SCOOP-43-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super High Roller], $1.5M Gtd, and it will be one of the nine remaining finalists out of a field of 71.

Foremost among them in terms of chip counts, and not by a small margin, is Aussie sensation Michael "imluckbox" Addamo. The high roller star has seemingly been in the final mix of every huge online event over the past year or so, and a late rush in this one saw him head into the final table with 125 big blinds, well clear of second-place Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle, who has 76.

Behind Rolle is a pretty tight mix of middle stacks that nonetheless all have plenty of play ahead, especially with the 30-minute levels that came into effect late on Day 1. Wiktor "Iimitless" Malinowski, Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph, Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden, and Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford are all between 48 and 56 big blinds.

In more danger but still not in extreme pressure are the shorter stacks, Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski and Niklas "lena900" Astedt, all between 27 and 36 big blinds.

Here's a look at the seating arrangement to start play:
