The 2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic continued Monday with the start of Event #2, a $125 buy-in no-limit hold’em event with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. The special event features six separate starting flights across three days with the survivors advancing to Day 2 on Wednesday to play down to a champion.

After Flight A came to a close early Monday evening, Flight B began at 6 p.m. ET and attracted a total of 57 entries. When play wrapped up after 12 levels only eight players remained with Marc Pusmucans leading the way with 188,000. Pusmucans won his biggest pot of the day against previous chip leader Richard Powell when his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} held up against {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} on a {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Hearts} board and steadily climbed through the remainder of the evening.

Several others bagged 100K-plus stacks, including Olivier Dufour, Adam Foster, Steve Ma and Atif Choudhury.

Event #2 will resume at 11 a.m. on Monday with Flight C at 6 p.m. Flight D will get underway in the evening, and the final two flights will take place on Tuesday.

We’ll have complete coverage of Event #2 until a champion is crowned on Wednesday. The flagship $1,000 Main Event kicks off on Friday with the first of two starting flights, with the conclusion set for Sunday.
