Polk Peels Nines and Pips Compton
Frank Russo limped under the gun for 1,000 before John Compton raised to 3,000 from the cutoff.
Doug Polk looked interested from the button and decided to three-bet to 8,000.
John Compton asked, "how much do you have?" and Doug lifted his hands up. "Not you, I'm not worried about you," said Russo. "I'm looking at him," talking about Compton, who had about 20,000.
"What about this, this could go in?" said Doug, pointing out his over 100,000 chip stack.
"His is going in before yours," rationalized Russo. Ultimately, though, he released his cards and let the other two battle it out.
Compton's chips did indeed go in first, but Doug also called relatively quickly.
Compton exposed , but Doug had him beat with his own . The board ran out and Doug made an unneeded set to take down the pot and oust Compton.
