Two Players Bust and Miss Out on Day 2

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Conrad Simpson
Conrad Simpson

During a grueling hand-for-hand session that refused to see any all-in player busts, suddenly two different players were all in at the same time.

On the first table, Jeremy Moore had waited as long as he could to get the chips in the middle, quite literally. He found himself in the big blind and was forcibly all in with less that the total owed. He was going to have to survive a flop.

One player limped before Conrad Simpson moved all in from middle position for 100,000. Multiple other players tanked as Moore awaited his fate. Ultimately, Simpson's raise did give him protection as the rest of the table folded and they took a flop heads up.

Moore flipped over {k-Spades}{4-Spades} for his blind hand. Simpson had him in big trouble with the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. The board ran out all low cards until the {a-Spades} landed on the river and eliminated Jeremy from the tournament. He wouldn't be the only elimination, though.

On a nearby table, Daniel Jones shoved less than ten big blinds and was called Kevin Garosshen. Everyone else at the table got out of the way.

After the first table had completed their hand, the tournament director moved to this hand. "Alright, let's see the hands."

Jones had {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Garosshen showed the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The window card delivered a blow to Jones' hopes as the {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flopped Garosshen a set. Jones still had his hopes resting on a gutshot.

The {2-Clubs}, though, brought even more hope to Jones as his gutshot had added a flush draw.

One card left to secure a bag for day two, the river card wasn't what he was looking for as the {8-Diamonds} fell and sent him to join Moore on the outside looking in.

Neither player got paid as only those who bag will make Day 2 and are in the money.
