Day 1c of Event #9: 750K GTD NLH has finished after 9 hours of play here at The Lodge Poker Club. This third flight brought an additional 119 entries, which played down to 15 players (12%) at the end of the day.

Michael Rossitto bagged the largest stack of the day with 662,000 chips, and also ended the lengthy hand-for-hand play when he busted Jessica Richards in the final hand of the night.

Behind him was John Compton with 390,000. Compton made most of his chips when he was all in and at risk a couple of levels before the day ended. His pocket kings hit a set against the pocket aces of Cody Ross, who ended the day with 101,000 after that blow to his stack.

Winston Djonli was thrilled to see the bubble burst as he will enter Day 2 with just 67,000, which will most likely be under ten big blinds when the levels are finalized.

Also bagging and in fourth place of the flight was Mohammad Bagheri with 317,000. Bagheri won Event #5: $600 Mystery Bounty $300,000 Guaranteed of this series and will look to get his second win of the series when he returns on Wednesday.

The 15 players will move on to Day 2 on Wednesday and join all the other advancing players from the other five flights. Payouts will be available after the remaining three flights are played.

PokerNews will continue with coverage of Day 1d tonight and Days 1e and 1f tomorrow.

Rossitto Bursts the Bubble by Eliminating Richards

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Michael Rossitto

Rossitto raised to 20,000 from under the gun and was called in the small blind before Jessica Richards moved all in for about 95,000 from the big blind.

Rossitto called and the small blind folded to leave Richards at risk against the big stack of Rossitto.

Richards turned over the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} but Rossitto had her drawing thin when he showed his {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran out clean for Rossitto in the form of {7-}{q-}{7-}{4-}{5-} and left Richards eliminated as the bubble. "You didn't have to have Kings, you were opening pretty much every hand," said Richards.

But, Rossitto did have the kings and that final hand also made him the flight's chip leader.

The Bubble Has Arrived

16 players remain, but only 15 will advance to Day 2. The next bust will be the bubble. Players will be hand for hand until that happens.

Brutal Cooler Catapults Compton to a Big Stack

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action picked up as three players' hands were face up and players were all in.

Tony Tran showed {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}, John Compton had {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}, but Cody Ross had {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and had them all covered.

The flop came {5-}{7-}{8-}, giving Tran a gutshot. Compton found a magic {k-Hearts} on the turn to take a commanding lead. The river was a blank and Compton scooped a 280,000 chip pot just before the bubble.

From Worst to First in Massive Three-Way All In

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action picked up as the river card fell. The board showed {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs} and three players had cards on their backs.

The table relayed that all action was preflop and all players were all in.

George Abi-Zeid had {a-}{q-}, Jeremy Moore had {a-}{k-}, but Jonathan Tamayo ran both hands down with his {a-}{8-} for the flopped two pair to win the hand and grab a huge stack as the bubble draws near.
