Others to advance included Matt Alexander (269,000), Ian Matakis (220,000), Payton Smith (188,000), MSPT Hall of Famer Matt Kirby (186,000), and MSPT POY candidate Justin Barnum (80,000).

Day 1b Schedule

The second starting flight will be identical to its first as the day will end once fifteen 40-minute levels are completed. All players will start with 25,000 in chips with 10-minute breaks coming after every two hours of play and an extended dinner break will occur after Level 9.

All players are allowed unlimited re-entry per starting flight and registration will remain open until the start of Level 13.

Big Slick Does the Trick for Grimes

Jeff Grimes raised from early position and CJ Peake defended his big blind to see a {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

Peake check-called a 500 continuation bet from Grimes, and then did the same for 700 after the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

Both players checked the {9-Diamonds} river and Grimes tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to win the pot.
