After three starting flights and a long Day 2, just ten hopefuls remain from a starting field of 1,242 for the final day of play here at the WinStar World Casino and Resort.

The final ten have already locked up a healthy $24,338 just for making it this far, but everyone is shooting for the 2019 WinStar Labor Day River Poker Series $1,500 Main Event trophy, as well as a cool $300,005 for besting this monster field.

Eric Bunch enters the final day with 7,865,000 chips and the chip lead after knocking out Craig Kinney just before the end of Day 2 play. Not far behind is Maine's Spencer Champlin, who went on a tear at the end of the night to bag up 6,750,000 for Day 3 action. Rounding out the top 3 is James Jewell with a 4,300,000 stack, good for over fifty big blinds at the start of day's play.

On the other side of the spectrum, Jim Harris (850,000) and Viet Vo (620,000) both begin today's play with fewer than eleven big blinds, while Chuck Barker will have his work cut out for him after running his Big Slick into Katherine Offutt (2,460,000) and her pocket rockets on the very last hand of the night. Barker brings back just 125,000, good for just over 1.5 big blinds to begin the day, and he'll need to quickly spin it up in order to avoid missing out on the final table of nine.

Rounding out the remaining ten players are Jeremy Liu (3,075,000), Kris Burchfield (3,040,000), and Eluterio Rodriguez (1,770,000).

Eric Bunch raised to 200,000 on the button, then called when Chuck Barker three-bet shoved for 240,000 in the small blind.

Chuck Barker: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Eric Bunch: {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}

"Classic," Bunch said with a smirk.

"Keep 'em low!" Barker said, but the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop was high, and gave Bunch an open-ended straight draw to go with his overcards. Bunch wrapped the hand up after the {8-Hearts} turn completed his straight, and the {6-Clubs} river completed the board, leaving Barker one spot shy of the final table.

Rodriguez Draws First Blood

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

James Jewell saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 200,000. Eluterio Rodriguez was on the button and called. The two went heads up to a flop of {2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Jewell made a continuation-bet of 200,000. Rodriguez called.

The turn was {3-Spades} and Jewell continued for another 300,000. Rodriguez called and the river came {7-Spades}. Jewell fired a third barrel for 500,000, sliding out a stack of T25,000 chips. Rodriguez thought about his decision for about 40 seconds and called.

"Ace," said Jewell.

Rodriguez tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for top pair, top kicker and Jewell nodded, showing the ace to the half of the table that was to his right as he dropped his cards from the one-seat onto the muck pile.

Katherine Offutt Eliminated in 9th Place ($29,982)

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Katherine Offutt
Katherine Offutt

Spencer Champlin raised to 160,000 from under the gun and Katherine Offutt three-bet him out of early position to 350,000. Action folded back to Champlin and he called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Champlin checked. Moments later, the dealer had announced an all-in bet from Offutt.

"Did you say all in?" asked Champlin after a few seconds. The dealer confirmed. Champlin threw in a few chips to call after a few seconds of thinking and the dealer announced a call.

Katherine Offutt: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Spencer Champlin: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Offutt had gotten her stack in as a dominating favorite for what would be around a 5 million-chip pot. However, the turn came {q-Hearts} to give Champlin aces up, leaving Offutt now drawing slim for her tournament life. The river {q-Spades} filled Champlin up to a full house, topping Offutt's two pair and ending her day early in gut-wrenching fashion.

Offutt returned shortly after collecting her winnings to graciously shake hands with everyone at the table, wishing them luck before making her exit.
