We are down to seven players in the WPT Malta main event after Jack Salter was eliminated by Finland's Sampo Ryynanen.
Ryynanen was in the cutoff and when the action folded around to him, he raised to 20,000. Salter then moved all in from the big blind and Ryynanen instantly called. The reason for his quick call became apparent when he showed

The tournament area is a quieter place after Ilan Boujenah has just lost his stack. Tony G opened to 14,000 from the button, Jackson Genovesi three-bet to 40,000 from the small blind and the split second he three-bet Boujenah four-bet all-in. Tony G folded

One of the first hands of the day also happens to be one of the biggest of the tournament so far.
Alessio Isaia, himself a WPT champion, opened from under the gun and the action folded to Ilan Boujenah in the small blind. He checked his cards and three-bet to 21,000. Isaia then four-bet, Boujenah shoved for 300,000 and Isaia beat him into the pot with a call.
