Wooyang Lin Eliminated in 14th Place ($1,003)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Wooyang Lin
Wooyang Lin

Wooyang Lin flopped two pair with {Q-}{10-} on a {K-}{Q-}{10-} board and found some action in the form of Addison Alston who had {Q-}{J-} for middle pair with an open ended straight draw. The {A-} on the turn gave Alston a straight and Lin was unable to improve to a full house on the river to finish in 14th place.

Bill Kontaratos Eliminated in 16th Place ($860)

Bill Kontaratos
Bill Kontaratos

A short stacked Bill Kontaratos got the last of his chips in with {6-}{5-} and was close to drawing dead against Bruce Benedict's {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} when the flop came {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. He was drawing dead after the {2-Clubs} on the turn and was off to collect his winnings.

At the other table, Addison Alston doubled through John Manzella when his {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} held against Manzella's {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

DelleDonne's Aces Hold

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Dean DelleDonne and Wooyang Lin got all their chips in pre-flop and it was DelleDonne at risk with {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} against Lin's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Lin picked up some scare outs when the flop came {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} but was unable to improve on the {7-Spades}{8-Hearts} turn and had to send over a chunk of chips to DelleDonne. Lin is still in good shape with 190,000 in chips while DelleDonne hits 200,000.

Joe Debonis Eliminated in 17th Place ($860)

Joe Debonis

Joe Debonis and Papa Levy got it all in and it was Debonis who was ahead with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} as Levy had {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}. All was good until the river as the flop and turn ran out {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The river, however, was the {K-Spades} causing a slightly irritated Debonis to fling his cards into the muck. He regained his composure, smiled, and said "why couldn't it have been the {K-Diamonds}".

Every One is Doubling Up

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We've had a flurry of double ups here in the last five minutes. First, Papa Levy doubled with {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} at the hand of Bill Kontaratos whose {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} was unable to improve. An excited Levy yelled "send it to Papa baby!" twice after the hand. Then Dennis Dekenipp doubled up two players, first Lou Manges in an unseen hand, and then Dennis Farrell when Farrell shoved with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Dekenipp called with {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. King high would be good enough to give Farrell the pot and the much needed double.

Manges Doubles and Then Gives It All Back

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Lou Manges and Dennis Dekenipp tangled in two large pots that ultimately saw Dekenipp coming out on top. The first hand went to Manges when his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} would best Dekenipp's {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

Dekenipp would get it all back moments later when the two got it all in on a {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop with Manges holding {K-Spades}{9-Spades} and Dekenipp holding {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. "You called me with a flush draw," said an incredulous Manges. The draw would hit on the {5-Clubs} river leaving Manges with just 15,000 in chips. He would quadruple up a few moments later to bring his chip count back up to 66,000 - still short, but alive.
