Kees Alblas Eliminated in 13th Place (€12,050)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Kees Alblas
Kees Alblas

Maikel Muis was first to act and made it 42,000. Action folded to Kees Alblas in the big blind and he opened his {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and announced all in right after for just about 80,000 or so. This caused quite a bit of consternation as especially Marcel Lüske objected to the course of action.

The tournament director came over and ruled that Muis had all the options, but this didn't tone down the conversation. Muis called with his {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and the dealer fanned {8-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Clubs} to complete the hand.

While Muis received the chips, the conversation was still going on. Even when Alblas had already left the tournament room and was collecting his pay out of €12,050, Lüske and Muis were still having a heated debate about it.

The remaining players are now guaranteed €14,680.
