Weekend Preview: PokerStars Sunday Million, WSOP Express, and WPT Crazy Sunday
Table Of Contents
The weekend is here, which for most of us means one thing: time to relax and fire at some online poker tournaments. If that’s your plan, you’re in luck, as several of the biggest sites in the game, including PokerStars, WPT Global, and GGPoker, are all running great-value events over the next few days.
I’ve gone through the weekend schedules and picked out some of the best tournaments to help you get your poker fix.
Sunday Million to Close EPT Season Online in Style at PokerStars
After nearly a month of action, the PokerStars EPT Season Online festival wraps up this Sunday with some of the most exciting tournaments of the series.
As you’d expect from PokerStars, there are events to suit every bankroll, from the $22 buy-in Finale with a $125,000 guarantee to the $1,050 High Finale boasting $300,000 GTD. But the real highlight this weekend is the traditional Sunday Million.
The $109 buy-in Sunday Million Finale comes with a $1 million guarantee and kicks off at 6:05 p.m. GMT on November 9, with late registration open for four hours after play begins. Players start with a 50,000 stack, and after the initial stage, surviving entrants return at 6:00 p.m. GMT on November 10 to battle for their share of the $1 million prize pool.
Satellites to the event start from just $1.10 and run throughout Friday and Saturday, alongside more than a dozen other tournaments getting underway, designed to suit every bankroll.
Book a Ticket to Paradise with WSOP Express at GGPoker
Described by GGPoker as a "fast track to the world’s most prestigious events," this weekend is the perfect chance to take part in some of GG Poker's top tournaments while also competing for a WSOP Paradise Package, with the festival just around the corner.
The standout event is the $2,500 EXPRESS to $30K Paradise PKG, offering 67 seats and the chance to secure access to this year’s record-breaking $60 million GTD Super Main Event.
The tournament kicks off at 19:10 GMT on November 9, with late registration open for around three hours after play begins. Players start with a healthy 100,000 starting stack, giving plenty of room to build momentum toward some winter sun in the Caribbean this December.
Beyond the EXPRESS, GGPoker has a full slate of tournaments running this weekend to suit every bankroll, from lower buy-in events for casual grinders to high-stakes action. And with WSOP Paradise just weeks away, it's well worth throwing your hat in the ring this weekend.
$100k GTD on Crazy Sunday at WPT Global
If you’re looking for bounty action this weekend, WPT Global has you covered with the $110 Crazy Sunday PKO, carrying a $100,000 guarantee, just like every Sunday in this series.
Each player you knock out earns at least $25 in progressive bounties, meaning with a nice runout you can easily recoup at least a good chunk of your buy-in. It starts at 08:30 GMT on November 9, making it a nice option for anyone who likes to get an early start.
With 12-minute levels, the action moves quickly, and late registration is open until 12:42 GMT (Level 21), so there’s still time for a lazy Sunday lie-in if that's your style before jumping in. Alongside WPT Global's usual excellent tournament schedule, it's a standout event if you're after some great value online poker this weekend.
