Jan-Peter Jachtmann Leads After Day 1 of the PLO High Roller in Rozvadov

The first day of the €3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller Event at the 2015 World Series of Poker Circuit King's Casino drew a total of 32 entries, including at least three reentries, which nearly matched the €100,000 guarantee.

With the late registration and reentry period open until the start of Day 2 at 16:00 local time on Wednesday, that number is sure to go up as participants of Tuesday's high-stakes cash game are likely candidates to enter before the first cards are dealt.

The overnight chip leader is 2012 WSOP pot-limit omaha world champion Jan-Peter Jachtmann with 136,800 in chips, followed by Jani Vilmunen (126,800) and Thomas Bichon (108,800).

The trio all have six figures in chips, while Florian Langmann bagged up 86,700. Further notables include Vasili Firsau (68,100), 2013 Eureka Prague champion Dimitri Holdeew (63,800), as well as the two two-time WSOP bracelet winners John Kabbaj (38,500) and Jesper Hougaard (25,500).

A King's regular, known only as Nicholson, was the first player on the rail, and Besim Hot followed soon after despite an explosive start in the tournament. Claus Carlsen, Jerome Sgorrano, Mikkel Plum, EPT11 Prague finalist Miltiadis Kyriakides and Vadim Markushevski also joined the rail before the end of level nine, while King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik only played two hands in the tournament.

Day 2 action begins at Level 10 and blinds of 600/1,200 with a level duration of one hour each. Once registration closes, the payouts will be announced, and then the field will look to play down to a winner. Make sure to tune back to PokerNews to find out who makes history on Czech soil and becomes the latest owner of a WSOP circuit ring.

Leon Tsoukernik Plays Two Hands; Busts

Level 7 : 300/600, 0 ante
Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

Leon Tsoukernik had just entered the competition and sat down. He raised the pot in the first hand and Benedikt Feige reraised to put himself at risk for the last 17,000 chips with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Tsoukernik was ahead with {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} but the board ran out {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to give Feige a flush.

Exactly one hand later, Hannes Scholz got his stack in preflop along with Tsoukernik and Jachtmann looked them both up.

Tsoukernik: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Jachtmann: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Scholz: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board {4-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} gave Scholz a triple up and Tsoukernik hit the rail with slightly less chips than the German.

Hot off the Press

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante
Besim Hot
Besim Hot

Besim Hot has been eliminated. Five-ways to the flop {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, Jesper Hougaard check-called a bet of 2,000 by Hot and all the other players in the hand folded. The {6-Clubs} turn saw a bet of 5,000 by Hot and a call by Hougaard before the Swiss announced all in blind. An {8-} on the river gave Hougaard the nuts with {J-Diamonds}{10-}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Hot's set of aces with the {A-Clubs} for the nut flush draw on the turn were no good anymore.
