Day 1 Started

Welcome to Day 1 of the WSOP Circuit Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller

The Kings Casino hosts the WSOP Circuit for the first time ever
The Kings Casino hosts the WSOP Circuit for the first time ever

The King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, is hosting the World Series of Poker Circuit Event for the first time ever and has come up with a festival that features 12 days and 13 rings up for grabs. The total guarantee is set with €1,800,000 and Event #9 is the €3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller event with at least €100,000 in prizes up for grabs.

The tournament runs over two days and features levels of 40 minutes on the first day with the level duration increasing to one hour for Day 2. All participants receive 30,000 in chips and an optional reentry can be purchased throughout the scheduled nine levels of Day 1.

Late registration remains open until the start of Day 2 where all new players will start with more than 25 big blinds still. The action for today gets underway in one hour from now at 18:00 local time.

Many big names are in fact already here in Rozvadov and play high stakes Pot-Limit Omaha cash games such as Leon Tsoukernik, Fedor Holz, Martin Kabrhel and Patrik Antonius. Other regulars of the international poker circuit are also expected at the tables with World Series of Poker bracelet winner John Kabbaj and Mihails Morozovs amongst others.

The PokerNews live reporting team will provide updates from the PLO High Roller in the next two days as well as the €25,000 Super High Roller and the €1,650 Main Event until November 9th 2015, so make sure to tune back in often to find out who is making history here in the Czech Republic.

And Another Two

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Besim Hot tends to take his last name very serious and can run up a stack quite quickly while Roman Cieslik plays many tournaments here in the King's Casino. They are on separate tables right now with more players already having purchased tickets but not taken the seats yet.

Slow Start

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the turn of a {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{A-Clubs} board, Roman Cieslik fired 800 and was called by the player to his immediate right in the cutoff. The heads-up pot ended with the {4-Diamonds} making an appearance on the river and Cieslik checked, then folded when his opponent made it 2,300 to go.

It has been a rather slow start with two tables going and after the hand was over, Jerome Sgorrano took his seat there, too. The Belgian had won his entry to the event in a Satellite yesterday.

Nothing to See Here; Just Quads

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Besim Hot raised to 125 and was called by Vasili Firsau from one seat over before the player in the hijack raised to 550. Jan-Peter Jachtmann called in the big blind and so did Hot and Firsau. On the flop {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, all three players checked and Jachtmann then bet the {3-Spades} turn for 1,100.

All his opponents folded and the German sighed. "Oh come on," he said and then flashed the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} first ... followed by the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for quad threes!

Hot Loves to Raise it Up

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

On the river of a three-way board, reading {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, Besim Hot fired 4,000 into a pot of 5,000 and both his opponents including Jesper Hougaard folded. The very next hand, Hougaard raised to 175 and got two calls before Hot raised the pot to 950. Hougaard and Jan-Peter Jachtmann called with the other player in the hand folding. Jachtmann gave Hot even the nickname "Harry Potter" for raising it up and they three saw a flop of {J-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

The trio checked through and did the same thing on the {Q-Spades} turn as well. The {3-Hearts} filled up the board on the river and Hougaard checked. Jachtmann fired 1,500 and Hot called whereas Hougaard folded. "I have an ace," the German said and Hot replied back "I have three" before turning over {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} as winning hand.

Kyriakides Joins Field

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Miltiadis Kyriakides is the latest addition to the field and the Greek already knows how to cash in tournaments here in the King's Casino. He made the money three times back in February and March this year. Other big scores include a third-place finish in the $ 10,000 Pot Limit Omaha (Event #64) of the World Series of Poker in 2014 and and an 8th place finish in the € 5,000 + 300 #22 No Limit Hold'em EPT Prague Main Event last December.
