Join us For Day Two at 3pm

Check back here at 3pm to see all the action as the young Russian, Kirill Gerasimov leads a very tough field into day two action. We'll play down to a final table tonight, so expect a long day of split pot action!

We Begin

The players have unbagged and stacked their chips and we've just heard the call of "Shuffle Up and Deal!". There are 147 players left in the field and we'll play down to the final table today.

Loaded

Normally we'd list a few "tough tables" that we'll keep an especially close eye on. Thing is, in today's event they're ALL tough. When you pause at a table to catalog the players you find yourself saying, "Former world champion...six-time bracelet winner...former Omaha Hi-Lo champion...online wunderkind..." It's that kind of field.

Todd Brunson Arrives A Bit Late

And he wasn't happy about it. We're not sure if Brunson was told that today's event would be held in a different part of the Amazon Room but he was rather upset about missing the first fifteen minutes of play.

Jan Fisher Loses Big Pot

Dealt a monster low hand (A-2-2-3) Jan Fisher played a three-way pot with Men "The Master" Nguyen and another player. Fisher and the other player called Nguyen's raise after the {3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} foop, and all three players checked after the {K-Spades} hit on the turn. Fisher failed to make a low when the {3-Spades} on the river paired the board, but it did give her trip threes and she bet them. Men the Master folded but the other player called and showed an 8-3 for two pair on the flop and a boat on the river. Fisher is now down to 2,300.

Jan Fisher Is Eliminated

After that last hand Jan Fisher had to take a stand, and she did with A-2-4-Q. The K-J-J flop gave her a gutshot draw, but the turn and river came diamonds to give her opponent a runner-runner flush that ended her day.

Quads Are Good

David Benyamine and two other players saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Benyamine bet 800 and the other two players called, and they all checked when the {2-Diamonds} came on the turn. When the {2-Clubs} fell on the river the player in the big blind bet 1,600 and Benyamine raised to 3,200. The player to his right called, the big blind folded, and Benyamine showed A-2 for the runner-runner quads. That pot boosted his stack to 33,000.
