Poker to Come

We are about 10-15 minutes away from the start of today's final table of Event No. 46, the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed event. We have five relative newcomers to the big stage plus one bracelet winner, our short stack Davidi Kitai.

As we await the start of today's action, here are some brief bios of our six players . . .

Seat 1: Sam Trickett (Nottingham, United Kingdom) -- 1,000,450

This is Trickett's first year competing in the WSOP, and today's final table marks his first-ever WSOP cash. He has eight career non-WSOP tourney cashes previously, totalling over $40,000 in winnings. Trickett is a former soccer player who suffered a major knee injury that ended his competitive playing career.

Lutz is also making his first WSOP final table appearance today. Lutz's only previous tourney cash was in this year's $10,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em World Championship (Event No. 25), for which he earned $21,657. Lutz is an amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and hopes to use his instincts to survive this final table.
