Welcome Back for Day 2

Day 1 chip leader and defending champ, Thang Luu
Day 1 chip leader and defending champ, Thang Luu
Good afternoon and welcome back to live coverage of Event #3, $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better, of the WSOP! The tournament is set to begin at 2:00 PM local time when the remaining 197 players from Day 1 will engage in more great action on the felt.

Storming to the front of the leaderboard on Day 1 was last year's champion, Thang Luu. He'll enter today with 73,600 chips and the chip lead. We've already broken the record for largest field size ever in an Omaha 8-or-better event, and only time will tell if Luu will make more history by going back to back. Amongst those other players returning today are top pros Eli Elezra, Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth, Scott Clements, Roy Winston, Justin Young, Freddy Deeb, Erick Lindgren, and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi.

Stay tuned for all the live action from right here at the Rio in Las Vegas coming to you shortly!

A Slight Delay

Due to the size of today's field in the $1K Stimulus event, the restart of the $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-Better tournament has been delayed for one hour.

We now expect to have cards in the air at 3pm. Stick around for updates on all of the day's action.

Luck of the Draw?

Annie Duke is sitting at the table just below our media perch today and the first words out of her mouth were "I can't believe it."

Why? Because this is what she faces:

Seat 2 - Annie Duke
Seat 3 - Todd Brunson
Seat 7 - Max Pescatori
Seat 8 - Matt Savage
