Everything's Coming Up Rosen

Shamus • Level 16: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante
Steve Rosen

Lots of grins around the Amazon Room at the moment, though none bigger than Steve Rosen's. He survived the cash bubble as the super short-stack, and on the first hand in the money was putting more than half his remaining chips in the middle just to pay the big blind.

On that hand, a player in the cutoff raised and Rosen called, showing {K-Spades}{8-Spades} to his opponent's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{A-Spades}, and Rosen doubled.

On the next hand there was a UTG raise, and it folded around to Rosen in the small blind who pushed all in again. The big blind folded, and the original raiser called, showing {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} to Rosen's {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The board came {8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}, and just like that Rosen is up to 65,000.
