Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and the 2013 World Series of Poker for the final day of Event #36: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout!

Three days ago 1,194 players sat down knowing that there were just three sit-n-go wins away from a gold bracelet and $326,440 first prize. The first day saw players that defeated their table survive into day two and the guaranteed $5,556 payout while winning their second table would see them arrive here today with at least $18,407 in their pockets and a chance at claiming gold if they could outlast the final 12 players.

Pros, amateurs and online mega-stars came as a mix of players were left with PokerStars Team Pro Nacho Barbero headlining the field along with Kevin "Civel" Vandersmissen and Mike "Sir Watts" Watson as the final 12 will start the day as follows.

Paging Mr. Kochelaevskiy

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We are now an orbit into play on table 452 and Vladimir Kochelaevskiy has still not taken his seat.

Although an orbit is only costing him 15,000 - roughly 1/30th of his stack - an appearance soon may help his chances of making a run at a final table spot.

No Good For Nacho

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After losing a pot to Sumanth Reddy when Reddy turned a set, Jake Schwartz is right back around his starting stack after taking one off Nacho Barbero.

From under the gun Barbero opened to 13,000. In the next seat over Schwartz called. Everyone else folded and the two took to a flop of {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Barbero led out with a bet of 13,000 and Schwartz called.

On the {K-Spades} turn, Barbero led again with a bet of 21,000. Schwartz didn't waste any time calling.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Barbero slowed down and just checked. Schwartz fired a bet of 35,000 that Barbero called after some consideration.

Schwartz turned up {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and it was good enough to take down the pot after Barbero mucked.

Kochelaevskiy Arrives and Calls with Ace-High

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After finally taking his seat, Vladimir Kochelaevskiy opened with a raise to 13,000 and Salman Behbehani defended his big blind to see a {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop fall.

Kochelaevskiy continued for 16,000 with Behbehani making the call before both players checked the {3-Hearts} on the turn. When the {7-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Behbehani bet out 25,000.

Taking nearly a minute to deliberate, Kochelaevskiy would eventually make the call and table his {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to best Behbehani's {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Wenker Straights Up Against Barbero

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Tobias Wenker opened the action preflop with a raise to 12,000. Only Nacho Barbero called from the big blind.

The flop fell {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and both players checked to see a {3-Spades} on the turn. On that turn Barbero led for 17,000 and he was called by Wenker.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} putting four to a straight on the board. Barbero checked to Wenker who made a bet of 38,000. After just a few seconds Barbero announced a call, but frustratedly mucked his cards when Wenker showed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for a rivered straight.
