Welcome to PokerNews' Day 3 coverage of Event #20: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.

A total of 389 players took to the felt for this unique sit-and-go format tournament. Day 1 consisted of 40 tables of nine-handed and 10-handed action. With a winner emerging at each table and earning a seat on Day 2, those 40 victors would be put to the test at a four-max table yesterday, of which there were 10. After a quick day for some and longer for others, 10 winners emerged. What awaits the winner today? A $254,891 first-place prize to go along with a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Hands #1-6: Stonehill Chipping Up

Level 1 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Hand #1: With the button on Noah Bronstein, Narendra Banwari opened to 11,000 and Phil Galfond called.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Banwari checked and Galfond bet out 12,000. The turn brought the {A-Spades}. Banwari checked again, Galfond bet out 27,000, and Banwari quickly folded.

Hand #2: Phil Galfond opened to 10,000 and Michael Stonehill three-bet to 22,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Galfond made the call to see a {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop.

Galfond checked. Stonehill bet out 32,000 and Galfond mucked.

Hand #3: Chris Bell raised to 10,000 and Jack Duong called to see a {4-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop fall. Bell checked as did Duong. The {A-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn and Bell bet out 12,000 to prompt a fold from Duong.

Hand #4: Michael Stonehill opened to 11,000 and Phil Galfond made the call in the big blind before checking the {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop. Stonehill checked also. The {10-Spades} landed on the turn and Galfond led for 13,000. Stonehill raised to 38,000 and Galfond deliberated for roughly two minutes before folding.

Hand #5: Dylan Linde raised to 10,000 and collected the blinds.

Hand #6: Narendra Banwari opened to 11,000 from the cutoff and Phil Galfond made the call next to act before Chris Bell three-bet to 36,000. Banwari folded, and Galfond called.

The flop fell {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn brought the {7-Spades}. Bell checked, Galfond pushed out 34,000, and Bell immediately folded.

Hands #7-13: Bell Surges into the Lead

Level 1 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Hand #7: Phil Galfond raised to 10,000 and everyone folded.

Hand #8: Eric Wasserson opened to 10,000 and Jack Duong called from the big blind to see a {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop fall. Duong checked and Wasserson bet out 12,000 before Duong check-raised to 29,000.

Wasserson made the call and the dealer dropped the {4-Hearts} on the turn. Both players checked. The {A-Clubs} completed the board and Duong checked to Wasserson who bet out 10,000 to prompt a fold from Duong.

Hand #9: Chris Bell raised to 10,000 and won the blinds.

Hand #10: Galfond raised to 10,000 and both Bell and Duong made the call. The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Duong bet out 14,000 following two checks. Both Galfond and Bell made the call. The {7-Clubs} landed on the turn and it was checked 'round to Duong.

Duong also checked, then the {J-Spades} landed on the river. Galfond and Bell checked for the third time before Duong bet out 20,000 with only Galfond making the call.

Duong tabled his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Galfond mucked to see Duong climb to 361,000 in chips.

Hand #11: Narendra Banwari limped as a total of six players saw the flop.

The flop fell down {10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Banwari bet out 18,000 before Bell made it 52,000 with Banwari the only caller. The {K-Hearts} then landed on the turn. Banwari checked and Bell bet out 58,000 to put Banwari into the tank before he called.

The {4-Spades} completed the board on the river. Banwari checked and Bell bet out 66,000 with Banwari instantly folding.

Hand #12: Banwari opened to 10,000 and Noah Bronstein made the call to see a {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop. Banwari bet out 12,000 to prompt a fold from Bronstein.

Hand #13: Taylor Paur opened to 8,000 and Banwari called from the big blind to see a {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Hearts} flop fall. Banwari checked and Paur bet out 9,000 with Banwari calling. The turn brought the {8-Hearts}. Both players checked. The river was the {5-Diamonds}. Banwari bet out 20,000 to force a fold from Paur.

Hands #14-20: Banwari Gets Aggressive

Hand #14: Taylor Paur raised to 8,000 and Narendra Banwari called as the flop fell {4-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Both players checked as the {7-Clubs} landed on the turn and Paur bet out 12,000 to force a fold from Banwari.

Hand #15: Banwari raised to 12,000 and won the blinds.

Hand #16: Noah Bronstein raised to 10,000 and Phil Galfond called to see a {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Spades} flop. Both players checked as the {7-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Bronstein bet out 14,000. Galfond called as the {J-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Bronstein checked, Galfond bet out 16,000 and Bronstein folded.

Hand #17: Banwari raised to 10,000 and Galfond made the call to see a flop of {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} fall. Banwari bet out 11,000 and Galfond raised to 30,000. Banwari made it 111,000 to go and Galfond instantly folded.

Hand #18: Eric Wasserson opened with a raise and won the blinds.

Hand #19: Chris Bell raised to 10,000 and Bronstein called from the big blind to see a {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Bell continued for 11,000 and Bronstein check-called as the {9-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Both players checked and the {8-Clubs} landed on the river with Bell betting out 10,000 and Bronstein quickly folding.

Hand #20: Banwari opened the pot to 10,000 and won the blinds.

Hands #21-25: Eights for Stonehill

Hand #21: Kory Kilpatrick raised to 10,000 and Dylan Linde made the call to see a {8-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop fall. Linde checked and Kilpatrick bet out with Linde quickly folding.

Hand #22: Michael Stonehill raised to 10,000 and won the blinds.

Hand #23: Jack Duong raised to 9,000 and both Stonehill and Banwari called to see a {J-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop fall with the action checked around. The turn landed the {A-Hearts} and another round of checks followed as the {J-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Duong bet 14,000 and Stonehill called, tabling his {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} after Banwari folded.

Hand #24: Stonehill opened to 10,000 and Banwari made it 28,000 from the small blind to force a fold from Stonehill.

Hand #25: Noah Bronstein opened to 10,000 and Banwari called from the button to see a {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop fall.

Bronstein checked and Banwari bet out 12,000 with Bronstein quickly folding.
