Welcome to Day 2 of Event #55: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. On Day 1 the tournament saw 2,396 entries trimmed to just 268 by day’s end.
Michael Malm was the overnight chip leader, stacked at 126,000. Zo Karim and Aaron Massey were close behind with 117,400 and 108,600 respectively. Other notables that finished Day 1 with chips were Brandon Cantu (96,000), Eddy Sabat (56,000) and David Pham (53,000).
The returning players will have to wait for 25 eliminations here on Day 2 to make the money. From there, they will be positioning themselves to take down part of the over $3M prize pool.

There is an interesting dynamic over at table #379 because two big stacks in Brandon Cantu and Alen Bilic are seated next to each other and both are capable of getting their stacks into the middle.
Samay Parikh opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and Cantu three-bet to 6,700 from the button. Bilic then cold four-bet to 14,000 from the small blind and only Cantu called.
Bilic led for 13,500 on the flop only to see Cantu instantly move alll-in. Bilic folded and Cantu crossed the 100,000 chip barrier with ease.

Seth Davies raised to 2,500 from middle position and when the action folded to him in the hijack Jack Ellwood three-bet all-in for 12,100 chips. John Eames folded, but Keith Wintermans cold-called Ellwood's shove. Davies ducked out of the way and the cards of the active players flipped over.

The bubble has burst and in most brutal fashion for Waylon Kofi who got his last 10,200 in the middle with versus the of David "The Dragon" Pham.
All was well for Kofi after the flop of and still after the turn. The fell on the river though and Kofi couldn't believe it.
The good news for Kofi was that two others players were eliminated on the same hand and the three chopped up two spots.
