WSOP Gold Bracelet Branding Twitch Stage
WSOP Gold Bracelet Branding Twitch Stage

There will be 29 players returning to the felt for the final day of Event #48: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MONSTER STACK. They will all have their sights set on the top prize of $1,037,451 and the coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Leading the way currently with a stack of 8,910,000 chips is Victor Rangel from the United States.

When the players return to their seats at 11:00 a.m. local time inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the short stacks will be forced to make a move early on, knowing that they already have $28,841 already locked up. With eight players sitting under 20 big blinds, the eliminations should be quick to begin the day.

Those sitting on larger stacks such as Rangel like James Carroll (8,165,000), Harald Sammer (7,170,000), Rittie Chuaprasert (5,785,000), and Michael Benko (5,250,000) can look to apply pressure and set themselves up for a final table appearance. Another player to keep an eye on is Steve Billirakis (4,145,000) who is the only one left to have won a WSOP gold bracelet previously, and he still holds the record as the youngest player ever to earn one.

The action will resume at Level 31 with the blinds at 50,000/100,000 and a 15,000 ante. The levels will continue to be 60 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level. There will also be table redraws at 27 players, 18 players, and 10 players. The schedule is to play today until a winner is crowned or at least 10 full levels are completed.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day.

Polop Can't Survive the First Hand

Level 31 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

David Cabrera Polop came into the day with less than one big blind and was hoping for a miracle to keep his bracelet hopes alive. He was all in on the first hand of the day from under the gun and Chris Chong raised on the button. The blinds folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

Chris Chong: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
David Cabrera Polop: {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}

On a flop of {a-}{q-}{j-}, Chong was well out front with a pair of jacks. The {8-} on the turn gave Polop some hope but the {3-} on the river ended his tournament life.

Nguyen Rivers Agarwal to Double

Level 31 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

It folded to Tommy Nguyen in the small blind who moved all in. Aditya Agarwal was in the big blind and snap-called.

Aditya Agarwal: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, bringing no help to Nguyen who had been caught trying to steal Agarwal's big blind. The turn was the {7-Spades} meaning Nguyen was open-ended.

The action folded to Jaspal Brar in the cutoff who raised it up to 400,000. Justin Quincannon was in the small blind and three-bet to 1,500,000 only to have Rittie Chuaprasert four-bet shove all in. Brar called off his remaining 210,000 chips and Quincannon laid his hand down.

Rittie Chuaprasert: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
