Adam Lamphere Retains Chip Lead on to Event #42: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack's Final Table
Day 2 of Event #42: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack was originally planned to award the bracelet, but the 2,403-strong field has necessitated a third day, bringing back a final table at noon tomorrow to play to a winner on the live stream.
Leading the returning eight is Adam Lamphere, having parlayed his start-of-day lead into a stack of 17,200,000, with only bracelet-holder Dan Matsuzuki (14,000,000) close to him in chips. The international line-up includes two players from India, Ashish Ahuja and Raghav Bansal, the latter holding the lead off and on in the crucial final levels of the day, which saw Simon Samokovski eliminated in 9th ($16,603) to turn the unofficial final table official.
Returning with just under average chips is German phenomenon Rainer Kempe, whose $20 million plus in live tournament earnings have come predominately from No Limit Hold’em at the highest levels. He has proven his adaptability, as have all the finalists, switching between games and betting limits every orbit over two long days of play.

All 195 players returning today were in the money; among those picking up hefty prizes considering the $600 buy-in (but not the $194,759 reserved for first on which all Day 2 hopes were pinned) were prior bracelet winners Kevin Song, Barny Boatman, Dan Heimiller, Arkady Tsinis, Chris Wallace, James Dempsey, Jarred Graham, Ylon Schwartz, Gregory Kolo and Leif Force. Coming close to a second bracelet (or in the latter’s case, a third) were Konstantin Puchkov (16th for $8,102) and SCOOP legend Calvin Anderson (11th for $12,954).
Sam Razavi, hot off the back of his 3rd place finish in WSOP Event #30: $1,000 Pot Limit Omaha last week (for which he won $104,888) dominated the middle levels of the day but bust in 10th for $16,603.
