After twenty-one 30-minute levels, only 55 return from the 1,350 entrants to battle for the bulk of the $3,599,160 prize pool in Event #33: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em of the 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.

Action will resume at 2 p.m. local time in Bally's Gold section. Blinds will start at 15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante as levels will extend to 40 minutes for Day 2.

Players who survived Day 1 include four-time bracelet winner and high stakes regular David Peters, who will return with just 515,000 chips. Other notables include bracelet winner Pete Chen (960,000), Landon Tice, (995,000) and Darren Elias (435,000).

Some fell towards the end of the Day 1 including Alex Foxen, Ben Heath, and Nick Marchington, who were all eliminated after having secured a spot in the money. Pro footballer Neymar Jr. was in the field for two bullets but failed to make the money.

There are also many bracelet winners returning along with Peters and Chen including Dylan Linde (1,910,000), Taylor Paur (1,660,000), Keith Lehr (1,510,000), Davidi Kitai (1,470,000), Dmitry Yurasov (1,420,000), David Pham (695,000), Barry Hutter (660,000), Thom Werthmann (310,000) , andJim Collopy (160,000).

However, it is German Nino Ullmann (2,565,000) who enters Day 2 as the chip leader followed by Canadians Rayan Chamas (2,500,000) and Vanessa Kade (2,290,000). They along with the 52 others will be looking to take that top prize of $594,079 and the prestigious WSOP gold bracelet.

Serock Takes a Small One from Couzens

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The flop showed {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs} in a heads-up raised pot between Daniel Couzens in the big blind and Joe Serock in the cutoff when both players checked.

The turn revealed a {10-Hearts} and this time Couzens check-called a bet from Serock worth 55,000.

The {4-Hearts} river brought no action and Couzens showed {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair of eights. Serock tabled {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for aces and took down the pot.

Kitai Forces a Fold on Rios

In a blind versus blind situation, Dorian Rios and Davidi Kitai were both on a flop showing {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Rios bet 90,000 and it was called by Kitai.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and this time Rios fired 175,000. Kitai thought about his move for a minute and announced all in. Rios snap-folded and Kitai grabbed the pot.

There was heads-up action between Dylan Linde in the small blind and Vanessa Kade in the big blind on a flop of {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}. Linde check-called Kade for 80,000.

The turn fell the {3-Diamonds} and this time Linde tanked a minute before check-folding after another bet from Kade for 300,000.
