Yu Loses to Straight Flush

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ben Yu
Ben Yu

Chien Chih Weng, Ben Yu, and a third player got all of the chips in the middle before the flop and Weng was at risk for about 310,000, covering the third player in the hand who had slightly less.

Player Three: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Chien Chih Weng: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Ben Yu: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Yu was in great shape, having both opponents dominated but the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop immediately gave Weng a flush. The {8-Clubs} hit the turn and the {j-Hearts} river further improved Weng to straight flush as she knocked one player out and doubled through Yu.

Anderson Continues to Crush Dreams

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson

Christian Calcano raised to 40,000 on the button and Calvin Anderson who is hot off his third-place finish in the World Series of Poker $1,500 Razz event for $49,557 jammed all in from the small blind. The big blind quickly folded and Calcano gave it some thought before dropping a chip across the line to call off his 600,000 stack.

Christian Calcano: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Calvin Anderson: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Anderson had two overs to Calcano's pocket pair but the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop missed both players as Anderson picked up a gutshot straight draw. The {k-Diamonds} turn was safe for Calcano but the {j-Diamonds} river sent him to the payout desk as Anderson continues to build a massive stack.

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Will Berry
Will Berry

A player shoved for 72,000 in the cutoff and the action folded to Will Berry in the big blind. After a couple of seconds, he made the call.

Cutoff: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Will Berry: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Berry had his opponent dominated with the eight-kicker and the board of {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts} was a clean one for Berry to eliminate his opponent.

The following hand, Maria Ielo raised to 20,000 on the button and Will Berry three-bet to 65,000 in the small blind. The big blind quickly got out of the way before Ielo surrendered her hand too.

David Jackson

Bernard Muhire: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Quads For Gavin

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Lexy Gavin
Lexy Gavin

Preflop action had Lexy Gavin opening to 4,500 on the button, the small blind calling and the big blind shoving all in for around 40,000. Gavin called and the small blind got out of the way to let them battle it out.

Opponent: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Lexy Gavin: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came down {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and with a set off the bat it looked pretty good for Gavin but her opponent still had outs. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn wasn't one of them and the {9-Hearts} that came on the river definitely wasn't helpful for him either. Gavin's quads were good to take down the pot and score a double up while leaving her opponent with one 1,000 chip.

Raymer Knocked Out

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

A preflop raise to 2,000 from Neng Lee in the cutoff received one call, Greg Raymer on the button. The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Lee tossed out a 3,500 bet which Raymer called.

On the turn came a {7-Clubs} and Lee once again bet 8,500 which Raymer called.

A {2-Hearts} on the river had Lee thinking for a moment before moving all in for around 100,000 which covered Raymers stack of around 25,000. Raymer tossed a chip in to call and Lee flipped over {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a straight to the jack that he hit on the turn.

"The nuts, pretty nice hand. Good game, guys" Raymer said as he tossed his cards in the muck and left the table.

The table mentioned that three levels ago Lee was down to 3,000 in chips and his comeback has been fast and furious since.

Dempsey Hits the River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
James Dempsey
James Dempsey

With 4,000 in the middle and {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} fanned on the felt, James Dempsey was facing a 1,500 bet from the player in the small blind. Dempsey called to see the turn.

An {a-Spades} showed up and had the small blind firing out 2,000 which Dempsey called without hesitation.

The river was a {5-Spades} and the small blind opened once more with a bet of 2,000. Dempsey raised to 11,000 which the small blind called and flipped over {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for two pair, fours and jacks. Dempsey showed {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for a runner-runner flush which was more than good to take down the pot.
