Nahum Blasts Off Then Blasts Off

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ivan Ruban
Ivan Ruban

Action was picked up preflop, with Ivan Ruban having placed in a three-bet from the small blind, to 200,000. Kfir Nahum, the original raiser, called from the hijack.

On a flop of 10K7 Ruban opted for a small continuation-bet, deciding that 100,000 was the correct size. Nahum made the call. The turn brought in the 10 which checked through, and Ruban checked again on the K river. Nahum quickly announced "all in," and Ruban read him like a book, snapping him off.

"Oh, come on!" Nahum shouted, standing up and launching his cards towards the dealer rather than tabling them. One bounced up, and the J was shown. Ruban turned over JJ and won the pot as well as the chip lead, as his stack rose to over a huge 5,000,000 chips, good for 200 big blinds.

Vasudeva Flops Monster Draw

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action was picked up with Joseph Jordan all in for 135,000, and Mohit Vasudeva all in over the top for just shy of a million. Daniel Defreitas, with 60,000 of his chips already in play, made the fold, and as did Justin Overholser, who put 60,000 into the dead money pile too.

Joseph Jordan: 77 All in
Mohit Vasudeva: AQ

Vasudeva flopped a royal flush draw on 10K4 then turned the flush on the 4. Jordan still had boat outs, but couldn't find them as the 8 river confirmed that the pot was Vasudeva's.

Defreitas revealed that he had folded pocket eights for a rivered boat, before Overholser announced that he, too, had folded a boat, with pocket tens. He rued his decision.

The flop came 54Q instantly giving Vandervort the lead with a spiked queen. The turn 6 didn't help Bart, who was quite busy filming the hand. The river J fell, shifting the lead back to Bart and evoking a surprised groan from the table.
