Shaun Deeb Faces a Mike Leah Bet
Shaun Deeb Faces a Mike Leah Bet

Mike Leah just opened three hands in a row and managed to add 200,000 to his stack thanks to a double-up and a profitable pot against Shaun Deeb on the very next hand.

  • Leah opened the first hand to 12,500, and Mike Gorodinsky called from the big blind. Gorodinsky drew two and Leah drew one. Gorodinsky led, betting 50,000, and Leah went all in for 79,100 more. Gorodinsky called, and Leah showed {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Gorodinsky said he had a nine-eight.
  • Then, Leah opened again the next hand. This time, Shaun Deeb three-bet to 41,000, and Leah called. Leah drew one, and Deeb stood pat. Leah led for 105,000, and Deeb took about 45 seconds before folding.
  • The next hand looked very similar when Leah opened to 12,500 and Deeb three-bet to 41,000. Only this time, Dario Sammartino shoved all in for 98,000. Leah took a while to make his decision. The clock was called, and the floor counted down to one, after which he and Deeb folded, and Sammartino won the hand. Leah showed his {10-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} as he tossed it into the muck.
