Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Tim Aube limped in late position before the action folded to Michel Arsenault in the small blind who raised to 3,800. Aube called.

The A57 flop landed and Arsenault continued for 3,000. Aube called again.

The 5 landed on the turn and Arsenault checked it over to Aube who wasted no time before putting Arsenault all in. He tanked for a moment but eventually found a fold and the pot was pushed to Aube.

Melanson Puts the Pressure On

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Dustin Melanson
Dustin Melanson

Sebastian Proulx opened in middle position to 2,000. He got called on the button by Nelson Miguel before the action was on Dustin Melanson who put in a three-bet to 7,000. Both players called.

The Q97 flop checked through to a 7 turn and Melanson put his foot back on the gas with a bet of 9,000. Only Proulx called on the button.

The 7 hit the river giving any pair a boat. Without thinking for too long, Melanson moved all in having his opponent covered. Proulx went into the tank but eventually he found the fold and Melanson dragged a healthy three-bet pot.

Khun Coming in Hot

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

There was a middle position open to 1,200 before the action folded to the button who called. The small blind folded and then action was on WSOP Bracelet winner, Chanracy Khun, in the big blind.

He took a moment and did some accounting before going upstairs with a raise to 6,500. Both of his opponents sat in the tank for a moment but they would both eventually find a fold.

Khun was pushed the pot and continues to chip-up and stay well above average as the first day of the main event moves forward.

Shawile Calls Down

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Abite Tesfaye Shawile opened in early position to 1,300 and got called by a player in middle position, Alexandre Bolduc on the button, and by the big blind.

The AQ3 flop quickly checked through to a K turn. It checked all the way to Bolduc on the button again and he opted for a bet of 2,000. Only Shawile called.

The 8 rolled off on the river, completing the front-door flush.

It checked to Bolduc again. He decided to bet one more time for 3,000 and was quickly called. Shawile rolled over A8 for two pair and Bolduc flashed pocket sevens before they hit the muck.

Miguel Goes For More

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Nelson Miguel opened the cutoff to 1,500 and got one caller out of Dave Graham in the big blind.

The A2J flop landed and action quickly checked through to a 4 turn. Graham opted to lead for 2,000. Miguel called.

The 10 hit the river and Graham went for another lead of 3,000. Miguel sat in the tank and went back and fourth before eventually putting in a raise to 13,000.

Graham thought it over, shook his head, and mucked ace-queen face up. Miguel did not show but still dragged a rather healthy single raised pot.
