2024 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker

SCOOP 115-M: $1,050 NLHE Main Event started with 3,993 players, but only nine of those have chips in front of them right now. Those nine finalists return to the PokerStars virtual felt from 5:30 p.m. BST on May 29 to compete for a $570,791 top prize.

Brazilian "HenriquinAK" only fired one bullet and has turned that into a tournament-leading 85,497,356 stack. They are guaranteed $38,052 regardless of what happens but should be able to log off tomorrow having captured a six-figure prize. Costa Rica's "59ofspades" (74,641,590) will also fancy their chances of glory, as will third-placed "PokerHorst" (67,588,587).

The final table of SCOOP 115-H: $1,300 NLHE Main Event is set, and, as you would expect, it is a star-studded affair. A field of 534 has been cut down to nine, and one of those nine will see their PokerStars account swell by $948,433.

Leading the way going into the final table is "Alister307" on 27,341,420 chips, although "VbV1990" is hot on their heels with 25,466,545 chips. Others who could come out on top and be immortalized in poker's history books include "yurasov1990," (19,803,620), Peter "piataoufmg" Patricio, (9,725,378), Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja (9,562,919), and Juanki "B4NKR0LL3R" Vecino (8,105,033).

Play resumes at 5:30 p.m. BST on May 29 with everyone guaranteed $92,083. Finishing in the top three locks in more than half a million dollars, with the champion scooping almost $950,000.

Some 23,616 PokerStars players entered SCOOP 115-L: $109 NLHE Main Event but only nine of those starters have made it through to the fourth and final day's play, where someone will claim a $241,169 top prize.

As things stand, the ball is in the court of Germany's "Tom1006," who has 153,913,731 chips, one of only two finalists with a nine-figure stack. "RisingStarXZ" is the other; they have 135,939,905 chips.

SCOOP 115-L: $109 NLHE Main Event Final Table Chip Counts

Play resumes at 5:30 p.m. BST on May 29, with each finalist guaranteed $16,076. A top-three finish improves their take-home pay to at least $122,536, with the eventual champion taking home a cool $241,169.

The SCOOP Main Event dream is over for Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas, who has just crashed out of SCOOP 115-H: $10,300 NLHE Main Event in 13th place for $58,642.

Colillas had been playing the role of sort-stacked ninja to perfection, biding his time for a spot to double up and claw his way back into contention. He thought that the time had come when he looked down at Q♠Q♥ and raised to 2,000,000, leaving only 32,000 chips behind. Peter "pitaoufmg" Patricio three-bet to 7,000,000 to isolate the Stars Pro, and Colillas called off the less than an ante he had behind.

Patricio turned over A♠K♦, and it was off to the races for Colillas. Unfortunately, he fell on the K♥4♥4♣ flop. The 2♠ turn was followed by the 8♣ river, and like that, Colillas was gone.

Two Team PokerStars Pros have started strongly in their respective Super Tuesday SCOOP events.

Sebastian "peace&loove" Huber is currently 10th in chips, with a 598,990 stack, in the $215 buy-in edition, while Alejandro "[Papo]AR" Lococo is in the middle of the pack in the $1,050 edition with 337,235 chips from his 100,000 starting stack.

There's a long way to go in both events, but the early signs are promising for the red spade-sporting stars.

Canada's Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois is now a three-time SCOOP champion after staging an impressive comeback to defeat Mike "SirWatts" Watson heads-up in SCOOP 117-H: $5,200 PLO 6-Max Main Event. Lefrancois was 5-to-1 down against Watson at one stage of the one-on-one encounter but doubled up, pushed into the lead, and never looked back.

The tournament drew in 121 entrants who created a $605,000 prize pool. $132,607 of that sum is now nestled in the PokerStars account of Lefrancois, and deservedly so. For Watson, he missed out on what would have been an eighth career SCOOP title, although the $99,951 he banked for his bridesmaid finish will go some way to numbing the pain.

Team PokerStars' Lasse "Wistern" Jagd Lauritsen is done and dusted in SCOOP 115-L: $109 NLHE Main Event despite getting the last of his chips in as a favorite.

Wistern three-bet all-in for less than ten big blinds after Andreas "mrAndreeew" Berggren had min-raised. Berggren called and it was K♣4♣ for the Swede against the ace-jack of the Team PokerStars Pro. Two clubs on the flop and another on the turn left Wistern drawing dead, and he was eliminated in 23rd place for $4,150 after outlasting almost all of the 23,616 entrants.

Twenty-two players remain, and Berggren leads them all with 56,224,801 chips.

Spain's Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos is celebrating the seventh SCOOP victory of his illustrious career after he came out on top in the SCOOP 120-H: $25,000 NLHE Super High Roller. Mateos outlasted 68 opponents to claim $456,747 of the $1,692,225 prize pool.

Mateos defeated Kahle "ROFLshove" Burns heads-up, resigning the UK-based Australian to a $342,103 consolation prize.

The final hand saw the pot build on an 8♣7♦2♦ flop, Mateos raising Burns' bet and Burns calling. Both players checked the 4♣ turn before Burns checked the 10♦ river. Mateos moved all-in, and Burns called off less than a pot-sized bet.

Mateos revealed A♦6♦ for a flush, crushing the Q♦10♥ of Burns.

Mateos will now jet off to Las Vegas for the 2024 World Series of Poker, having won more than a few buy-ins for bracelet-awarding events.

Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois is heads-up with Mike "SirWatts" Watson in the $5,200 PLO Main Event. At one stage, Lefrancois trailed his fellow Canadian by five-to-one, but he has just doubled up and is back in contention for the title.

All the chips went onto the middle on an 8♥K♦2♣ flop, with Watson holding A♥A♣J♦7♠ and needing some help, as Lefrancois held K♥8♠4♠3♥ for the top two pair. The J♥ turn took away some of Watson's outs, and the 4♣ river was a brick. Lefrancois doubled through Watson and is now less than a two-to-one dog in this fight.
