Speidel Staying Active

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Oliver Speidel has the most chips at the table and as such is easily the most active at the table. Speidel has taken part in three of the last handful of pots.

The first hand saw Speidel open the pot to 135,000 from the button and then fold to a three-bet from Mohamad Kowssarie. The next hand saw Speidel open it up from the cutoff and he picked up the blinds and antes.

The third hand saw Speidel yet again open the pot, this time from under the gun. Kenneth Wong made the call in the big blind and the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop was dealt. Both players checked and the {k-Hearts} hit the turn. This time Wong led for 225,000 and Speidel let go of the hand.

Wong Up; Healy Down

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Cards flew into the muck from every direction as the action was on Patrick Healy in the small blind. He completed and Kenneth Wong then tapped the table in the big blind seat.

The {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop saw Healy check call an unknown bet amount from Wong and the {8-Hearts} hit the turn. Healy again checked and then called a bet of 200,000 from Healy. The {5-Spades} on the river prompted Healy to again check and this time he would fold when Wong threw out 400,000.

Speidel Takes Another Down

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Oliver Speidel was under the gun when he opened it up with a raise. Patrick Healy made the call out of the small blind and Kenneth Wong made the call in the big blind.

Flop: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}

On the flop, Healy led for 250,000 and Wong got out of the way. The action was then on Speidel and he stood out of his seat to get a good look at Healy's stack. After he sat back down, Speidel decided that raising it to 750,000 was a good amount. It was too much for Healy and he sent the pot to Speidel.

Speidel Up The Top of the Counts

Oliver Speidel
Oliver Speidel

Oliver Speidel and Mohamad Kowssarie both went to a {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop and it was Speidel who was first to act. Kowssarie made the call when Speidel led for 230,000 and the {6-Spades} hit the turn. Speidel continued his betting, throwing out 375,000 and Kowssarie made the call.

A big pot was brewing as the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Speidel yet again bet, this time making it 425,000. Kowssarie would fling his cards into the muck when Speidel turned over {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

With that pot, Speidel is by far the chip leader here at the final table.

Bjorn Li Eliminated in 6th Place (A$230,000)

Bjorn Li - 6th Place
Bjorn Li - 6th Place

Bjorn Li was left with the shortest stack at the table after he rumbled with fellow Hong Kong native, Kenneth Wong. It was only a matter of time before Li got his stack all in and that's what has just happened.

It all started when Bjorn Li three-bet shoved out of the big blind. Mohamad Kowssarie was the player who opened the pot and when the action was back on him, he made the call.

Li: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Kowssarie: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} with no help for Li as he exits Studio 3 in 6th place. And then there were five!

Wong Doubles; Li Struggles

Bjorn Li
Bjorn Li

The hand was opened to 120,000 from Bjorn Li in the cutoff, which prompted Kenneth Wong to move his stack all in from the button. Wong had 1,015,000 which was a large portion of Li's stack. After plenty of deliberation, Li decided to make the call.

Li: {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Wong: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Wong was in good shape to double up and when the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board ran out, that's exactly what happened. Li is now the short stack at the table.

Mile Winning Them All

Mile Krstanoski
Mile Krstanoski

Mile Krstanoski can't seem to lose a pot lately. The latest hand that went Krstanoski's way began when Bjorn Li opened it to 125,000 from under the gun. Krstanoski was in the small blind when he made the call and Patrick Healy let his big blind go.

On the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Krstanoski checked to Li who bet out 165,000. A call from Krstanoski and the {a-Spades} would be dealt on the turn. both players opted to check and the {8-Hearts} would hit the river. This time Krstanoksi led out for 280,000 and Li decided to go with a call.

When Krstanoski opened up his {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, it was enough to send Li's cards into the muck as Krstanoski took down another pot.
