He will be followed by Chris Dandrea, who bagged the chip lead on Day 1b, and Michael Chilton, who finished in second on the leaderboard for Day 1c.

Dandrea sat on one of the bigger stacks through the middle and later levels of Day 1b, and he bagged over 200K more than his nearest competitor, Dale Humphrey. Also near the top of the leaderboard was Tina Visconti, who bagged the fifth-highest stack from the flight.
Many of the players that were unsuccessful on Day 1a found a way to Day 2 on Saturday, including Terakun "Papa Karn" Karnchanakphan, who finished just outside the top ten after a strong day. He's joined by Dorothy Crossman and William Anderson on Day 2, along with Ron Germany and Morgan McBrayer. Also joining them is WSOP bracelet winner David Moses, who will try to work his way back up the leaderboard as one of the shorter stacks on Sunday.

WPT champion Mike Davis also ran hot for much of the day, and he held the chip lead throughout until he came back to the back near the end. Also returning on Day 2 is Brian Winter, who leads the RGPS Player of the Year race by a considerable margin. His nearest competitor, Shaun "The Ghost" Emery, will also return on Day 2.
Day 2 will kick off at 12 p.m. with the final 82 players and they'll return with just over eight minutes left in Level 15 and blinds at 4,000/8,000/8,000. Levels will increase every 40 minutes on Day 2 and the field will play down to a winner. Prize pool information will be announced once made available in the morning.

There were still 28 players in the tournament after several players survived their all in attempts.
One such attempt began with a raise from Mark Davis to 32,000. Jariya Watkins called from two seats over before Zane Crawford shoved 183,000. Davis folded and Watkins went deep into the tank before she called.
Zane Crawford: J♦J♠
Jariya Watkins: A♠Q♠
The board ran out 7♥6♠9♥6♦J♥ and Crawford secured the double with a set of jacks.
A few moments later, and with little fanfare, the bubble finally burst and the final 27 players were set for Day 2.
Stay tuned for final chip counts and a seat draw from the PokerNews team.

Level 15: 4,000/8,000/8,000
Danny Jessup shoved his last 46,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Josh Miller for a call from the big blind.
Danny Jessup: 8♣8♥
Josh Miller: A♥2♦
The board ran out 5♠5♣4♥3♠4♠ and Miller turned the wheel to send Jessup to the rail as the bubble nears.
There are now 29 players left in the tournament and the top 27 will advance.

Level 13: 3,000/5,000/5,000
A player raised to 11,000 and Mark Davis made it 105,000 from the next seat over. The remaining players each gave it a measure of thought but no one wanted to challenge him. Davis took another pot and he is closing in on the biggest bag of the weekend.
Meanwhile, the chips are starting to fall Brian Winter's way and he's sitting next to Shaun Emery — his nearest chaser on the RGPS Player of the Year leaderboard.
