Day 1cde Completed
The third of five flights has officially ended in Event #1: $1,100 Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty at Mediterranean Poker Party from the beautiful Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Casino after 17 levels of play.
55 players managed to survive the starting field of 369 that took to the tables in Northern Cyprus for their chance at a massive first-place prize. The current players will take their stacks to Day 2 which continues Saturday, with two more Day 1 flights wrapping up tonight. Registration has officially closed in Day 1d, reaching a total of 397 entries, while registration remains open in the fifth and final flight for those who want to take another shot at the $1,000,000 guarantee.
When the day wrapped up, it was Evgenii Ushakov who bagged the chiplead with an impressive stack of 3,000,000. Evgenii peaked at close to 3,400,000 chips but took a hit when his set of eights lost to the straight of Andrei Konopelko.
There were plenty of notables in the field, but not all were fortunate to survive the day including Yury Bochkarev, Ludovic Periaux, and Jessica Teusl who fell hit the rail with only a couple of levels remaining as her ace-king couldn’t hold against the ten-nine suited of Semen Kravets.
The current prize pool has already surpassed the €1,000,000 guarantee, standing at €1,031,000 but expect that to increase as the final flight wraps up.
Day 2 starts at 12:00 p.m. local time tomorrow, and all players will be given a Mystery Bounty token at the beginning of the day.
As always, stay tuned to PokerNews for continued coverage of this €1,100 Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty here at the Mediterranean Poker Party.

Adam Enginoev opened 100,000 on the button before Patrick Maalouf shoved 660,000 from the big blind. Enginoev made the call.
Patrick Maalouf: A♠2♠
Adam Enginoev: A♦10♣
Maalouf was dominated but the 5♠4♦2♣ flop gave him the lead with a pair of deuces. However, it was short-lived as the 10♥ fell on the turn, and the 10♠ on the river to eliminate him on the bubble.
The 55 remaining players have begun to bag their chips for Day 2.

Joshua Marquardt opened 80,000 under the gun, and both Brandon Shiels and Razvan Sabau came along in the blinds.
The dealer spread a flop of 8♥5♠3♥, and once checked to, Marquardt continued for 75,000. Shiels made the call, and Sabau put in a raise to 275,000.
Marquardt quickly folded, and Shiels went into the tank. After using multiple time banks, he shoved the rest of his chips into the middle. Sabau had about 680,000 total and made the call.
Razvan Sabau: 9♥8♠
Brandon Shiels: 9♦9♣
Sabau flopped top pair but it was no good against the overpair of Shiels and the board completed with the 5♦ turn, and 4♠ river.

When the 8♠ hit the turn, Konopelko continued for 225,000, and Ushakov matched the bet.
