Day 1bc Completed
The RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint $700 Main Event at The Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs Iowa has seen the final two flights happen with 432 (226 & 206) entrants putting their hats in the ring to win the title. 25 entrants survived from Day 1c, and they will join the 28 from the previous flight and the 27 from the one before that to see 80 players return tomorrow at noon to play for the title.
After the dust settled, it was Nick Barksdale who was leading the pack of Day 1bc with 824,000, which means he will return as the Day 1 overall chip leader. Close behind him is Stephen Moy with 693,000 and in third is Abbas Pasha with 641,000.

Others who made their way through the day included Taylor Howard (267,000), Sarah Stefan (329,000), Brian Winter (62,000), Jared Ward (119,000), Greg Raymer (129,000), and Blair Hinkle (389,000) all of whom are looking to acquire some new RGPS hardware.
Others found their dreams of a main event title at this stop dashed in this flight. Unfortunately, RGPS ambassadors Caitlin Comeskey and Nikki Limo are included in this group, along with regulars like Duster Ellis, Ben Stuart, and Ted Forshey who will have to look elsewhere to secure an RGPS Main Event Title.
Play ended with 26:48 left on the clock in Level 15 with blinds at 4,000/8,000 with an 8,000 big blind ante. Since this was the earliest stop time, players will be returning at this level and all the following levels will be extended to 40 minutes.
Stay tuned to PokerNews for all updates regarding The RGPS Destination: Council Bluffs here at the Horseshoe.

Due to rapid back-to-back eliminations, the field has been cut to 25 which means the players are now in the money after zero hands of hand-for-hand.
The play clock is now stopped and the players have begun the bagging process to return at noon tomorrow for Day 2!
Stay tuned as a full chip count and seat draw will be released shortly.

On a heads-up flop of 2♠A♦9♠, Donald Nimneh checked to Nick Barksdale, who bet 69,000 into the pot of around 95,000.
Nimneh then check-raised all in for 252,000 total and Barksdale went deep into the tank.
After close to two full minutes of thinking aloud and counting his chips, Barksdale slid his cards to the dealer and the pot was awarded to Nimneh.

The 45 players remaining in Day 1c are now on their third break of the night and will return to action shortly.
After a preflop betting war, a player moved all in and Sarah Stefan made the call to put them at risk of elimination.
Player: A♠Q♦
Sarah Stefan : K♠K♥
"Come on, no ace, no ace!" Stefan pleaded, but an ace appeared on the 3♣4♣8♥A♣ turn to give her opponent the lead.
"Noooo! I always lose these!" Stefan was dejected, but only for a moment as the K♣ plopped down on the river to give her a set to take back the lead, winning the pot and eliminating her opponent.
"Ok, that was a really good river!" she laughed excitedly as she raked in the pot.
