Leading the way is Logan Cate who ended their day with 507,000 after being involved in many hands throughout the day and picking up a nice chunk when he busted Nick Barksdale near the bubble. Hot on his heels is Tyler Klumb with 487,000 and in third for Day 1a is Kenneth Coy with 485,000.

On a flop of A79, there was some back-and-forth betting between Taylor Howard and Dimas Martinez Jr. that ultimately led to a shove from Martinez and a quick call from Howard to put him at risk.

Martinez Jr. held the lead with his flopped two-pair, and the runout of 57 kept it that way for him to scoop the pot for a double while Howard was left short.
