Three-Bet Jam by Kuo

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Wayne Yap took a pot off Kitty Kuo to send the latter into the danger zone and Yap then raised to 35,000 from the cutoff. Jan-Eric Schwippert three-bet to 133,000 in the small blind and Yap called. The flop of {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts} went check, check, and Schwippert's delayed continuation bet of 135,000 on the {6-Spades} turn forced a fold from Yap.

One hand later, Yap raised to 35,000 once more and Kuo moved all in from the big blind to claim back some chips.

It's All About Lamb

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ben Lamb has left little doubt who the table captain is for pretty much the entire day and continues to dominate the action on the final table to pull away further at the top.

Wayne Yap raised to 34,000 and Lamb three-bet from one seat over in the cutoff for 110,000 to force a fold.

Jan-Eric Schwippert made it 40,000 to go from under the gun and Lamb defended the big blind. On the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop, Lamb checked and called a bet of 30,000 before the duo checked through the {5-Clubs} turn. On the {7-Diamonds} river, Lamb bet 80,000 and Schwippert called to get shown {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} as winning hand.

Yap limped the button the very next hand and Lamb filled up from the small blind, Schwippert checked in the big blind. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Lamb bet 28,000, which was called by Yap only. On the {5-Spades} turn Lamb bet 85,000 and Yap had a decision to make. While starting at the board and Lamb on and off, Lamb's stare was fixated on his opponent only, and soon after he would rake in the pot after Yap gave up the resistance.

Salter Getting Short After Tangling With Lamb

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On a {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board Jack Salter checked to Ben Lamb who bet 50,000. Salter check-raised to 150,000 and Lamb called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Salter check-called a bet of 150,000.

The river was the {6-Spades}. Salter checked and Lamb placed a bet of 325,000 in the middle, covering Salter's remaining stack.

Salter, who was receiving a massage, had his eyes closed. After a while, Lamb reached forward and knocked his stack so that the chips cascaded out. Still, Salter sat with his eyes closed.

Eventually, they opened and he apologised before settling in to count out his remaining stack and assess his options. Eventually, he folded and Lamb scooped a big pot to extend his chip lead.

Roger Teska Eliminated in 6th Place (A$123,120)

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Roger Teska
Roger Teska

Jan-Eric Schwippert raised to 36,000 and Roger Teska defended his big blind before checking the {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Schwippert continued for 36,000 and Teska check-raised all in for what appeared to be 180,000. Schwippert's call by tossing in a single chip followed in just a second to create the following showdown:

Roger Teska: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Jan-Eric Schwippert: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Once Teska spotted the over pair of Schwippert, he could all but shrug with his shoulders and sigh. There was no help on the {A-Spades} turn and the {J-Spades} river and Teska exited in 6th place to record his first live cash outside of the United States and the PCA for A$123,120 (~$99,727).

The turn {j-Clubs} and river {6-Diamonds} meant that Kanit was eliminated in seventh place for A$102,600, with the final table of six confirmed.

Kanit Gets Short

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Lamb's raise in the hijack was called by Mustapha Kanit on the button and Jack Salter in the small blind. The flop fell {J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Salter checked, Lamb continued for 40,000 to see just a single call by Kanit. After the {10-Spades} turn, Lamb leaned over to see the stack of Kanit, who moved away his hands to reveal his chips. Lamb then bet 85,000 and Kanit called.

After the {10-Hearts} river, Lamb took his time before betting 175,000 and Kanit folded after some consideration.

Salter Takes from Schwippert

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert made it 30,000 to go from the button and was called by both Mustapha Kanit in the small and Jack Salter in the big blind. The flop fell {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Kanit as well as Salter checked, Schwippert continued for 32,000 and was called both ways.

The {4-Diamonds} turn brought no betting action and Kanit checked the {6-Clubs} river. Salter bet 116,000 and Schwippert was the only caller to see the Brit roll over {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a flopped full house.
