Cunningham Connects on the River

Jarod Cunningham was all in from the small blind with the board showing 2♠7♥9♣ and three other players involved in the action. Chad Awerbuch fired 3,800 from the big blind, as did Luke Thomas and Bernie Stang.

The 3♥ turn saw Awerbuch fired 7,900, producing a fold from Thomas and a call from Stang. Awerbuch led out again for 8,200 after the J♣ river, with Stang taking a moment before making the fold.

Awerbuch showed K♣9♦ for a flopped pair of nines to earn the side pot, while Cunningham hit top pair on the river with J♠2♦ to stay alive.

Alati Takes Out Day

Gordon Day limped under the gun and Jesse Alati also called in the hijack. Joseph Wu then checked his big blind option to the 6♥6♣K♥ flop.

Wu and Day checked to Alati, who fired 3,000. Wu folded, while Day called to see the 2♦ turn. Both players then checked to the 9♦ river, where Day led out for 3,500.

Alati announced a raise to 21,500 and snap-called after Day moved all in.

Day showed A♠6♣ for trip sixes on the flop, but Alati's 9♠9♥ found a full house on the river to score a massive pot.

Riyazati Chipping Up

Amin Riyazati opened to 2,000 in early position and was called by Steven Marrone on the button. Ivan Alloshe also came along in the small blind, as did Louis Luo in the big blind.

Action checked to Riyazati on the Q♠A♦7♣ flop, who continued for 2,500. Marrone called while both blinds got out of the way.

Riyazati then checked the A♣ turn, making the call when Marrone bet 6,000. Riyazati tapped the table again on the Q♣ river, with Marrone opting to check behind.

Riyazati showed K♣3♣ for a flush, adding to his stack as Marrone mucked.
