"Ace-King" Giveth, Ace-King Taketh Away

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jacque Ramsden
Jacque Ramsden

"I haven't seen you bluff yet," said Jacques Ramsden facing a 30,000 bet from Sayed Jabbour on a K10982 board. "And I've got ace-king...this is horrible."

Eventually, Ramsden called.

"Queen-high," said Jabbour and Ramsden won the pot with the very un-ace-king looking K7

However, Ramsden did pick up AK and got it in against the same opponent. However this time Jabbour held substantially better than queen-high, with KK holding on the 1092410 runout to send Ramsden to the rail.

Bernie Stang

Three players saw a flop of Q63 and it was the first player, Bernie Stang, who shoved for 76,500 into a pot of around 25,000. Mark Yazbeck called and Martin Finger folded.

Bernie Stang: A8 All in
Mark Yazbeck: Q8

Yazbeck had flopped top pair but would have to dodge clubs or an ace to send Stang to the rail. The turn was the 9 and the river the 4 and Stang was eliminated.

Zelig's Otter Here; Aces for Szwarcberg

Level 10 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Zelig Otter
Zelig Otter

Sayed Jabbour was sitting pretty with a stack in excess of 600,000 and his tablemates relayed the information to PokerNews.

Zelig Otter and Jabbour went heads-up to a Jx9x3x flop in a three-bet pot. Jabbour continued for 13,000 and Otter called.

The turn was a Kx putting two spades on the board. Jabbour checked and Otter bet 55,000. Jabbour check-raised to 120,000 before Otter shoved for around 280,000.

Jabbour called with Qx10x for the nuts with Otter turning over AxQx for just ace-high. The river bricked sending Otter to the rail.

On the very next hand, Tomas Szwarcberg bet the 985106 river for 12,000 into a pot of 80,000. His opponent Ethan Erdeljac raised to 50,000 and Szwarcberg called. Erdeljac showed A9 for a pair of nines, but that was no good against the AA of his opponent.
