Jamal Gets the Best of Stein

Sam Stein and Yunus Jamal played an unraised pot in the blinds, with Jamal emerging on top. Both players checked an {8-Clubs} {J-Spades} {3-Hearts} flop. On the {10-Clubs} turn Stein bet 260,000. Jamal called.

Both players checked the {A-Hearts} river, with Jamal showing down {10-?} {5-?}, a pair of tens, to take the pot.

Clemente Check-raises Stein

Sam Stein raised to 350,000 from under the gun and action moved around to Daniel Clemente in the big blind. He made the call, changed wardrobe and all.

The flop was another monotone one when the {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} fell. Clemente checked to Stein on his left. THe chip leader fired a continuation bet of 480,000. Clemente check-raised to 1,075,000. Stein folded and Clemente picked up the pot.

Stein Lets Go of Bullets

Sam Stein opened with a raise to 255,000. Tom Marchese was in the big blind and made the call.

The two players saw a flop of {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Marchese was first to act and checked. Stein bet 330,000 and Marchese made the call.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts}, putting four hearts on board. Both players checked.

The river was the {10-Hearts} adding some more red to the board, all hearts. Marchese led out for 625,000 and Stein mucked his hand, showing two black aces.

Marchese Scoops One

Daniel Clemente, Sam Stein, and Tom Marchese saw a {K-Spades} {9-Spades} {3-Diamonds} flop. Clemente checked, Stein checked, and Marchese tossed in 160,000. Then Clemente check-raised to 385,000. Stein folded, and Marchese responded with some aggression of his own. He three-bet to 975,000, and Clemente mucked without hesitation.

More for Stein

Tom Marchese raised to 275,000, and Sam Stein called in the small blind.

Flop: {A-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} - Stein checked, and Marchese bet 275,000. Stein called, as he almost always does when faced with a bet on the flop.

Turn: {5-Hearts} - Both players checked.

River: {9-Hearts} - Stein bet 640,000, and Marchese quickly folded, sending yet another pot in Stein's direction. The next hand, Stein raised and picked up the blinds and antes, worth 240,000 every hand.

Stein Still Accumulating

Despite those two hiccups right before the dinner break, Sam Stein shows no sign of slowing down. He called small blind Daniel Clemente's pre-flop raise to 285,000. Both players checked a king-high flop, {5-Spades} {9-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. When Clemente also checked the {7-Hearts} turn, there seemed to be no way the aggressive Stein would refuse to bet. He didn't disappoint, betting 360,000 and taking down the pot.

It's a good post-dinner start for Y. Jamal. He was in the big blind and called a raise to 250,000 made by Tom Marchese. Each player checked an ace-high flop, {6-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {4-Spades}. On the {5-Hearts} turn, Jamal led out for 380,000. Marchese called.

The river fell {9-Spades} and brought quick checks from both players. Jamal opened {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} for a pair of aces. That was the winner.
