Kyle Doubles with Tens

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After a player opened to 12,000, Eric Kyle moved all in for 46,000 and action folded all the way around to the initial raiser.

After some painful deliberation, he finally made the call to put Kyle at risk and the cards were tabled.

Eric Kyle: 1010 All in
Opponent: J10

Kyle was in good shape to double up as his opponent only had one over-card, and the runout of 74552 was clean to earn him the pot.

Left short, his opponent hit the rail two hands later after getting it all in preflop multi-way with 103.

Smith Folds a Straight to Venhaus

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a completed board of 21029K, there was close to 30,000 in the pot when Dalton Smith led for 12,500 but then Kevin Venhaus moved all in to cover.

After a few painful moments in the tank, Smith folded QJ face-up to show a straight. Venhaus then let him sleep easy as he flashed 99 for nines full of deuces to scoop the pot.

Unfortunately for Smith, he was eliminated a few hands later and will have to return tomorrow if he wants a chance at some RGPS Main Event glory.

Douglas Rockets into the Lead with Double KO

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Eric Douglas
Eric Douglas

Eric Douglas opened from the hijack to 4,500 and was called by the Button, but then the Big Blind moved all in for 18,000, which both players called.

On the flop of J84, Douglas continued for 20,000 and was then raised to 55,000 by the Button, which he called.

The turn came the [Ks[ and Douglas checked to his opponent, who pondered for a few seconds before he moved all in for close to 85,000. Douglas took a deep breath and set out a stack of chips, putting the player at risk and the cards were on their backs.

Big Blind: AQ
Button: 85
Eric Douglas: K10

"Woww, you got so lucky on the turn," the Button sighed at Douglas, shaking his head.

Douglas now needed to fade a non-club ace, ten, eight, or five to scoop, and the river 9 sealed his victory by giving him a king-high flush.

"Well, let's go get drunk!" the two players said as they exited the table while Douglas raked in the monster pot, propelling him into the chip lead.

Big Haul for Dump Truck; Winter Rewarded

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Brian Winter opened to 3,500 preflop and was called by three players to see a flop of 3QK, which he then checked. Another player checked behind before Jason Reels took a stab at it by betting 6,000 and was then called by a player known only as 'Dump Truck' and Winter.

Then the player behind Winter moved all in for his last 13,500 and was called by Reels, but then 'Dump Truck' shoved over the top, totaling 83,000.

Winter quickly got out of the way but Reels went into the tank for a good bit, counting out the necessary chips. After around 30 seconds or so, he decided against it and tossed in his cards to let the other two sort it out.

Opponent: QJ All in
Dump Truck: 75

"Damn!" Reels exclaimed as he folded the best hand, but he was quickly patting himself on the back when the turn rolled off the K, giving Dump Truck the flush. Only a queen or king would save the at-risk player from elimination, but the river was the brick 4 and he was sent to the rail as the pot was unloaded in front of Dump Truck.

Winter, who was very proud of himself for making a spectacular fold (AQ), was then rewarded for his brilliance the very next hand when he doubled with pocket kings.
