Phuong Takes, Saldago Takes Back

Ta Phuong raised to 11,000 and Kelly Salgado came along from the big blind to see 7♣8♠Q♦ on the flop. Phuong continued for 13,000 and Salgado called. Both players checked the K♦ turn and the 10♥ river to get to a showdown. Phuong showed J♣J♠ and Salgado mucked the losing hand.

On the next hand, Tom Millward raised to 7,500 from late position and Phuong called from the button before Salgado raised to 20,000 from the small blind. Both players called and action was three ways to a 10♣5♥2♠ flop.

Salgado tossed out 35,000 and Millward got out of the way for Phuong to call. The turn was 8♦ and Salgado shoved with more than Phuong.

Phuong spent a moment in the tank but it was too rich so he gave up the pot.
