Action was heads up with a big pot in the middle and 3♣6♣J♦8♥ on the board when Ritesh Patel bet 23,000 and Brian Arbaugh called.

The river was 8♣ and Patel shoved, sending Arbaugh into the tank. After several moments of thought he tossed out the rest of his 34,700 chips and Patel turned over A♦A♠. Arbaugh mucked the losing hand and the dealer did not turn it over, but he said he had QxJx.

Easy Come, Easy Go

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Wendy Lu was seen bringing in a double after she got 32,000 in on a flop of 5♥7♦10♦. She turned over A♥10♥ and beat a diamond draw when the board finished up 10♣K♣.

On the very next hand, Lu raised to 2,500 and Dale North called from the next seat over before a player on the button made it 10,000. Lu and North called to see a flop of K♠3♠3♥.

Lu and North checked the flop and the player on the button shoved 42,000. Lu went into the tank before she called with exact change and North shoved when it became his turn. Lu went into the tank once again but she eventually got away from it and the cards were turned up.

North showed K♦J♦ and the button turned over A♠J♠. The board finished up with 5♥ and 3♦ and North dragged a big pot.

Reese Beats Prince

Jeff Reese raised to 2,000 from under the gun before Antwan Prince shoved 4,400 from the button. A player in the small blind called and the big blind came along before Reese made it a four way pot.

All three remaining players checked the K♦10♣J♠ flop to see 2♣ on the turn. The blinds checked again, but Reese tossed out 3,500 and they gave it up.

The river was a 2♥ and Prince had A♠5♠, but Reese turned over Q♦J♥ to secure the elimination with a pair of jacks.

An early commotion was heard at Table 57 and Charles Melcher had a Cheshire grin as he stacked up the chips of his opponent.

Melcher had AxAx and Tahhusoglu had KxKx. The chips got in and the board ran out with no help for the pocket kings to give the flight its first elimination.

Tahhusoglu stuck around to get the fruit cup and coffee he had ordered, and it's currently unknown if he will reenter the flight before registration closes at the end of the dinner break.
