Day 3 Completed

Congratulations to the PokerNews Cup Main Event Winner Dory Zayner!

Dory Zayner - the PokerNews Cup Champion
Dory Zayner - the PokerNews Cup Champion
Dory Zayner outlasted a field of 428 players from around the world to take down the Main Event of the inaugural PokerNews Cup. PokerNews Marketing Director Gareth Edwards and the Crown Casino's Tournament Director Brett Jones presented Zayner with his $300,000 check along with a stunning crystal trophy.

Though Zayner has only been playing poker for about a year, he came into this event confident that he could make the final table. Along the way, he outlasted a stacked field including some of Australia's top pros and WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Hachem. His beautiful wife was on hand to watch him win the title, though it was well past his 11-month-old daughter's bedtime.

Congratulations to Dory Zayner on his victory!

Hand #155 - Dory Zayner

Dory Zayner has the button. He completes the small blind and Ng checks his option. The flop is {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and both players check. The turn is the {3-Hearts} and both check again. The river is the {3-Clubs} and both check a third time. Zayner shows {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and wins the pot.
