Lou Esposito, Michael Guzzardi, Rolf Slotboom, Berry Johnston, Jan Von Halle, and the Le brothers, Allen and Nam, are all left remaining in the field. Play will resume tomorrow at 3:00 PM local time over in the Brasilia Room here at the Rio. See you all then.

It Gives to You with One Hand Then Takes Away with the Other

Ari Engel was very short-stacked and moved all in with A-10. He found a caller with A-Q but managed to spike his three-outer and double up.

The very next hand he found another A-10, and still being very short-stacked he moved all in again. This time he was in a better spot as his caller had 8-9. An eight on the flop changed all that though and Engel was busted at the death of play.

Long Think Before a Bad Call

The river card had already been dealt and the board was {8-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}.

Ricky Sanders moved all in against his opponent, who tanked for three minutes before making a call with {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} for the rivered straight. Sanders flipped over {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} for the flopped flush.

The pot was huge and it put Sanders up to 75,000.

Tamayo Wins a Huge Pot

No-Limit Hold'em:

After a player made it 1,100 to go from under the gun, Jonathan Tamayo reraised to 3,500. The under-the-gun player then shipped in his whole stack of 25,000. Tamayo made the call and turned over {K-?} {K-?}. His opponent held {6-?} {6-?}.

The board ran out {8-?} {5-?} {3-?} {4-?} {J-?} and Tamayo didn't get unlucky. He is now up to 76,000 and cruising.

River Queen

Limit Hold'em:

In one of the last limit hands of the night, Nam Le and Tino Lechich clashed. Le raised it up and Lechich called.

There was a bet and a call on every street and the board ended up as {9-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {Q-Hearts}.

Lechich revealed {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} to take the pot as Le folded.

Lechich is on 22,000.
Le won his next hand and is on 7,100.

Limit Hold'em:

David Benyamine raised under the gun and then a player reraised from the cutoff. Benyamine put in another raise to put all his chips in the middle and the player called.

Benyamine held {K-Spades} {10-Hearts}, but was dominated when his opponent showed the {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {7-Spades} {9-Hearts} {2-Spades} to end Benyamine's run at a second bracelet.

Comeback Kid

Limit Hold'em:

A player in early position raised before Lou Esposito three-bet, and he got a call.

The flop came {10-Spades} {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and Esposito led out for a 1,000 bet that was raised to 2,000 and called.

The turn {2-Spades} saw Esposito check-call a 2,000 bet.

They both checked the {5-Clubs} river and Esposito's opponent mucked when he saw the {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}.

Esposito is up to 26,000. A great comeback.
