I Would Have Lost, Won, Tied...

Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

No-Limit

Eli Elezra raised from middle position, an opponent reraised all in for 6,625 from the cutoff, and a third player reshoved over the top for approximately 23,000. Elezra tanked for a minute or so, grumbling.

"I have a middle pair and I know you both have ace-king and ace-queen," he said. Then with a big grin folded his "middle" pair face up -- {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

One opponent did have {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but the other showed {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. "Good fold," Elezra said to himself. The flop came {4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Then the turn brought the {3-Clubs} and an R-rated moan from Elezra. The river was the {8-Clubs}, though, meaning the two players involved ended up chopping the pot -- and Elezra was happy again. Sort of.

Elezra is sitting with about 65,000 at present, one of the bigger stacks in our rapidly shrinking field.
