Last Minute: WSOP Main Event Online Poker Satellites This Weekend 0001

With the Main Event soon approaching, there are still many viable options left to win a seat and make your way to Las Vegas. The Rio offers daily satellites, but for those who are better online players or want to arrive in Las Vegas with a seat already in hand, almost every online site offers some type of satellite to earn your way in. Many sites even offer extra value to those who are lucky enough to go deep in the main event while qualifying through their site.

Sun Poker is adding 30 WSOP Main Event packages which will be spread across six satellites to be held on July 15 and 16. There will be five $140+$10 Guaranteed satellites on this Saturday, with 20 added WSOP Packages spread out across the day, while the final WSOP Last Chance Satellite on Sunday (also $140+$10 buyin) will have 10 WSOP Packages added to the prizepool. Each $15,000 package includes a seat into the Main Event, $2,000 of spending money, and $3,000 for a 15-night stay at the Rio. Additionally, if players who qualify are knocked out of the Main Event prior to day 3, they are entered into a $200,000 freeroll. Satellites to enter the $140 satellite are running all week and start at just $20.

Full Tilt Poker has upped the stakes considerably by offering $10 million to any player who wins the main event and qualifies through a Full Tilt satellite. With first place of the Main Event estimated at around $10 million, they are essentially doubling the purse for a player lucky enough to win both a satellite and the bracelet. If you don't have the bankroll to enter into a main event satellite, they also offer daily freerolls that could qualify you for one of the 100 free $10,000 seats that they are giving away.

Poker Stars, likewise, boasts $5 million worth of free seats, hotel rooms, and player incentives through its frequent player point freerolls on its site. PokerStars is hosting a 150 seat guaranteed tournament this weekend. They also feature the last three World Series main event winners in Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, and Joe Hachem, who all won their seats through Pokerstars satellites.

All in all, there are many great ways to win your seat into the Main Event. If the estimated $10 million for first place isn't enough incentive, you can always try your luck online to significantly boost your value and get some added free money.
