FTOPS VI Main Event: 'fkscreennames' Wins $385K

At last, the main event of this season's FTOPS (Full Tilt Online Poker Series) at Full Tilt. This $500+$35 event boasted a stunning $2,000,000 guarantee, and, true to form, topped it. With 4,371 entrants, the top 585 places paid, with first receiving a massive $385,937.45 – life-changing money for all but the highest-rolling players.

A whopping 41 "red" Full Tilt pros, more than half of the 70-some currently on the site, got their tickets for this one. Scott Clements and Aaron Bartley were fresh off their appearances in Day 2 of Event #13. Among all the "red" pros, those who cashed were Amanda "Mandy B" Baker in 555th, Bartley in 346th (making two FTOPS cashes in a single day), Adam Schoenfeld in 319th, David Chiu in 167th, Jonathan Little in 114th, Mark Vos in 76th, and Eddy Scharf in an impressive 22nd.

Unlike the last FTOPS main event, this event's winner would have to be a complete newcomer, as there were no big names at the final table. (Unless you count this event as the first of many, and with the bankroll boost gained here, why not?)

Out first at the final table was HipHopNDontStop, 19 minutes into this last table of play. southside1 raised to 220,000 with blinds at 40,000/80,000 with a 10,000 ante. Then, mendieta19 slew two players at once, after he made a standard raise and SwingRoll and THEONE213 both raised all in. mendieta called with versus SwingRoll's and THEONE213's . Ugly! The board was and SwingRoll got eighth for $39,339, then THEONE213 got seventh for $50,266.50.

After the smoke cleared, eisenhower1 went all in, in the small blind. 007Paghman called with and eisenhower1 showed . The board was and 007Paghman went out in sixth for $66,876.30.

Despite winning that hand, eisenhower 1 was next. He made a standard raise and fkscreennames called. The flop was . fkscreennames checked. eisenhower1 bet 324,000. fkscreennames called. The turn was . fkscreennames checked and eisenhower1 bet 700,000. fkscreennames raised all in, and eisenhower1 called, showing to fkscreennames' . At the 51-minute mark of the final table, southside1 raised to 300,000 with blinds up to 60,000/120,000 with a 15,000 ante. kavicarter shoved with and southside1 called with . The board was and kavicarter was out in fourth, taking a nice $120,202.50.

Ten minutes later, fkscreennames raised to 390,000 and mendieta19 called. The flop was . Both players checked. The river was and mendieta took third, earning $152,985.

Entering heads-up action, fkscreennames was ahead 2 .5 to 1 over southside1. He would never relinquish that lead. Only five minutes of action led to this hand: with blinds at 80,000/160,000 and a 20,000 ante, southside1 raised to 400,000 and fkscreennames called.
