Five years ago the "WPT Ladies Night Out" debuted, bringing women's poker a measure of recognition within the poker world. Since then, the WPT has also worked with the Bicycle Club to promote the Ladies Event during that casino's Poker Legends tournaments. The winner of the Bike's Ladies $1000 buy-in then became the sixth player at the annual televised event. The partnership also took women's health and well-being to the poker table by sponsoring the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, which will now become the WPT Ladies Tour's recipient charity.
With a history of success in women's poker and the growing numbers of ladies entering the game, the WPT has now created Ladies events at most of their circuit stops. Some of these events will be in association with special ladies poker organizations such as the Ladies Poker Association (LPA) and The LIPSTour.
All events will offer buy-ins in the range of $300 - $1500 attracting amateurs, semi-pro and professional players from all corners of the country. Every winner along the circuit will qualify for a seat in the WPT Ladies Championship to be played at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in April 2008.
The upcoming schedule for the tour includes these locations:
January 20 Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Atlantic City, NJ Buy-in: $300 Entry Fee: $50
February 2-3 Commerce Casino, Los Angeles, CA

Buy-in: $970 Entry Fee: $95
March 16 Bay 101, San Jose, CA
[In association with Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS)] Buy-in: $300 Entry Fee: $30
