PPC Poker Tour Adds 10th Florida Stop in Season 2; Heading to Ocala in July
The Players Poker Championship (PPC) Poker Tour, which has tripled in size for Season 2, has added another event to their schedule. From July 29-August 3, 2014, the PPC is headed to Ocala Poker and Jai-Alai for the 2014 PPC Ocala Poker Summer Splash, which marks the tour’s 10th stop in Florida for Season 2.
"We are excited to add Ocala Poker as our 10th Florida stop in 2014. Not only does Ocala strengthen the tour in Florida, it’s less than two hours from our strong base in Tampa,” said PPC Commissioner Sandy Swartzbaugh. “Another great series for players that are vying to become PPC Player of the Year and win PPC Aruba packages. "
The PPC Ocala Poker Summer Splash is a five-event series that will feature a $250 buy-in, $30,000 guarantee Main Event from Thursday July 31 through Sunday, August 3. Players will be able to buy in to any of five starting flights and then carry their largest stack into Day 2. The fields combine on Sunday, August 3 to crown a champion and award multiple Aruba packages.
“This is the first major poker series for Ocala and our players are excited the PPC Poker Tour is coming to town,” said Brian Matthews, Director of Poker Operations at Ocala Poker and Jai-Alai. “Our staff is looking forward to working with the PPC and putting on a top of the line series.”
Ocala Poker offers poker tournaments and live poker games in Reddick, Florida, which is located half way between Ocala and Gainesville.
