888 Weekly: Nitsche Celebrates Third-Place WSOP Finish, Tallinn to Host 888Live Event

Dominik Nitsche

The newest addition to Team 888Poker's Ambassador line-up, Dominik Nitsche, finished third in the 2015 World Series of Poker Event #25: $5,000 Eight-handed No Limit Hold'em earlier this week.

Nitsche, who comes from Germany, took home $220,657 for that finish, narrowly losing out to first-place finisher and bracelet winner Jeffrey Tomlinson, who took home $567,724. The event had 493 players and generated a prize pool of £2,317,100.

Following his latest win Nitsche said: "There wasn't much more I could have done today. I'm pretty excited with my third place finish."

His plans for the rest of the WSOP? "$1k no-limit events - I'm usually quite good at those. Two of my bracelets are in $1k events. They're my specialty."

Sweden's Sofia Lövgren Hunts WSOP Cash

Another Team 888Poker Ambassador, Sofia Lövgren, is also in Las Vegas, and she is barely halfway through her list of scheduled events. Unfortunately, she busted her first event, the Event #16: $1,500 "Millionaire Maker" No-Limit Hold'em KxKx vs. AxAx, but Lovgren has a whole host of events left to enter leading up to the Main Event on July 6. These include the $1,000 Ladies Event and Event #61: $1,111 "Little One for One Drop" No-Limit Hold'em.

Lovgren cashed in the Ladies Event three years ago and will be looking to build on an earlier cash this series when she finished 178th in the Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em.
