Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Dan Cates Playing HK$20,000/$40,000/$80,000 in Manila

Poker tournaments around the world just never seem to stop; everyday there's a new event and every week there's a new series. This week, lots of eyes are on the PokerStars Asia-Pacific Poker Tour Manila festivities that are going on in the Philippines, but it's the action behind closed doors that's got us excited.

The PokerNews Live Reporting team is on site for the event, and while there Caitlyn Howe was able to catch up with one of Asia's most prominent poker figures, Winfred Yu.

In the following video interview, Yu discussed the success of high-stakes poker at Manila's Solaire Resort and Casino, where the big Asian nosebleed games seem to have migrated from Macau. Yu cites that star players Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Dan Cates are currently in Manila playing HK$20,000/$40,000/$80,000 (approx. $2,500/$5,000/$10,000) and that the poker scene in Manila is growing.
