The New Jersey Online Poker Briefing: "KingofNJ" & Sean "sisco" Sisco Win Big!
It was another big weekend for online poker players in New Jersey as all of the major tournaments with at least $10,000 guaranteed prize pools exceeded their guarantees. This was despite the fact that the Garden State Super Series III (GSSS III) ended last weekend.
The two biggest winners last weekend came in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee, which since converting to a re-entry last month has consistently met its guarantee. This week's tournament was no different with 311 entrants ponying up the $215 buy-in to generate a healthy $62,200 prize pool.
The tournament ended in a three-way deal with "KingofNJ" being declared the official winner, collecting $8,988. Also part of the deal were "Kanish29" who finished in second place for $8,874 and Steven "stevenmadara" Madara who collected $7,533 for taking third.
Madara also appeared on the final table in the second biggest online tournament over the weekend, finishing in fifth place to earn $1,898 in the WSOP.com/888poker NJ Sunday $30,000 Guarantee.
However, Sean "sisco" Sisco was the one to shine through the field of 170 players in that tournament to take first place for $8,541. New Jersey's "QIGONG" should also able to feel good about a nice payday, having finished second to earn $4,983.
Other well-known New Jersey players to appear on the final table in the $30,000 Guarantee included Brian "Deusexmachin" Willis snagging $2,847 for third place and Baruch "gamblegamble" Krieger banking $1,582 for sixth place.
